More seriously I wish they gave us something too. I didn't bought a clan package because I'm not a clanner (and they were @&¤§# expensive!) but I bought both founder and phoenix. I also wish they did not restricted the gift to those who bought the top tier package, not everyone can afford to spend 120$ on a videogame.

 

It could be even better marketing strategy to simply gift 4 things: 1 for founders, other for Phoenix, other for clanners AND one for dropping X cash in the game, with the chances to also get the other 3 previous ones. Fidelity is fidelity no matter the way its shown.

I also share the point that not only top-tier buyers should get it, but all, with top-tier getting something else, like cockpit items or whatever.

The acclaimed clan bonus Mech is only there to make ppl buy the next batch.
I think it's a nice move of PGI to think of a reward for the IS-Loyal base as well as a reaction to the community.

I just thought... buyers of the packages already had some rewards: Early access to tech and accessoires, free mechbays, premium time, early access to closed beta, unique variants (paintjobs), champions, free colors only to name some...... Sure we paid for it, but the benefits/advantages are still palpable (e.g. mastered clans vs still not released clans).

My guess is, IF we get a reward Mech, it will be another custom-variant of an already existing or a still to release Mech (I'm looking at you, Flea) or maybe a custom paintjob. Because if PGI would grant us a new machine, it would have to be accessible to everybody else in time, then it would be nothing special anymore.

I do think that it should be something we get early access out of, with special look/camo/bonus. But in-game performance-wise it should be the same as whatever it is as a cbills version when it is released.

That is more reasonable, and fair to the player base.

I am happy to look cooler, but I do not want to be unfair. (I am happy with a bit of xp/loyalty/cbills earning bonus though)

 

Going to be unpopular and say it should give something different as its supposed to encourage you to dig deep.

 

You are talking about the clan bonus..... I still say it will be a vulture.
IS already paid their due.... I had them all... legendary founder, Overlord/Phoenix, Sabre, Clans... the full monty. errr...no, not a golden Mech....

Either way I get them both but I'd love it if it was something I'd really look forward to.

Why Urbie when u could get a King Crab? Remember the model posted some months ago in the mwo forums? I would love to see one of those one on one versus a Daishi....

 

I doubt it will be a brand new mech that only goes exclusively to a few. Likely we will see a version of it, kinda like limited "Prime" variant.

Or one with unique hardpoint setup.

He he. TBH I know they've said omni only but it would be perfect if they did a Urbie and Kodiak or whatever non omni clan to keep them unique - problem is not sure how that would sit with the present skill system as a basic only mech is distinctly weak.

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again here, if PGI give us a MAD-4A or a Stone Rhino, I will give them all the monies.

 

Stone Rhino is out due to the lawsuit as is I suspect a MAD-4A but can't remember what that variant looks like.

 

I am just going to leave this here, I am utterly speechless honestly. Very excited for the future rewards coming our way.

Yeah, I know it will never happen, as they just said last week that they're not even going to try to license the unseen models since it's too much of a headache.

The MAD-4A is basically just a bigger, beefier Marauder, clocking in at 100 tons with JJs.
