Yes, but only so much. It is farily XL friendly, so you should find XL 350+ viable. Play to the quirks (AC-10s and LPLs), make sure the arms get lost before going down, and it can still be pretty fun.

Been using it with the LPL and AC/10. But didn't dare putting an XL in there. Running point most of the time I believed that wouldn't do me much good. Cheers for the tip though. I'll give it a try!

I kinda feel this way about Banshees in general, but granted I do not have the La Malinche, just the 3 basic variants... I completed the basics skills on all 3 and kinda lost interest. I was planning to pick them back up when I bought an XL 390 to toss in 'em. I think XL won't be too much of an issue as I find usually get my CT blown out before any of my side torsos

The Xl 390 gives it a speed of 71.4 after speed tweak which is pretty respectable for such a huge mech. The slow as molasses torso twist speed on my standard engines are the worst part of the Banshee IMO, so I think in a very rare case, such as the Banshee, an XL might IMPROVE survivability by making it not so sluggish, while actually letting you torso twist faster than a 90 year old man with a bad back

Can confirm, I bought an XL 390 today and did some test runs with my Banshees... 100% more enjoyable to pilot now, and not a single side torso blown yet!
