Any time I use an Assault mech. Or really any build that can't go over 70kph. Slow movers turn my piloting straight to "suicidal".

I've walked straight up to suicide ledge in Frozen City, I regularly end up swimming in lava in Mordor, and I've died to LRMs. My usual tactics of "keep moving, don't go in a straight line, shoot them in the back" just don't work for some strange reason.

 

Had one for you tonight myself. Wanted to see all the changes that were made to the Spider first hand. I dusted off my old spider that I haven't piloted since my along came a spider video and launch.

"Reactor, online. Sensors, online. Weapons....oh shit I KNEW I forgot something...I had scavenged all my weapons off it to make another build and didn't have so much as a rock to throw at them...Oh wait...it gets worse....

I was the last mech alive vs their last mech alive who was cherry red CT and only had 1 Medium laser left...We lost.

 

I always seem to forget a load up ammo, or the correct ammo.

Another is to call in team chat, PUSH INTO THE CENTER, only to be the only one and get faced melted.

 

LOL nothing worse than going into a match with 6 tons of UAC ammo & two regular AC/5's

Can't count the number of times I've pushed in a pug match only to find that the rest of my so-called Lance decided to retreat... hit F4... watch mech disintegrate.

 

Most embarrassing moments are when I'm in a new or less than stellar mech and come across NGNG or mechspec'ers and don't ugh...perform... to expectations

 

haha, yeah I hear that one LT. Reminds me of what is probably my most embarrassing moment.

Forgetting to equip my LBX10 on my Protector while dropping with the NGNG crew live on twitch... moment forever captured on the youtube now...

had to go dig it up for shame... lol

Yeah, I dropped last night in an LRM50 BLR-1S with 4 tons of LRM ammo and 3 tons SSRM ammo I had forgotten to switch out.

Ugggh, last night I dropped in my LCT-1S on Caustic, and a couple people said to push left at the beginning. So as the fastest mech on the team I scouted ahead, made sure my team was following me, and found the enemy right where we were expecting them. I gave a quick note to the team that there were multiple targets, and it looked like they were coming across to join me. Unbeknownst to me, everyone turned around and chased a Spider down the right side of the Caldera instead, so I was left to take the fire of most of the enemy team waiting for a backup that never came.

 

Just had a new one... Took my sniper out for a couple matches... and then this happened:

Random drop a lance-mate said "Hey! I've seen you on MechSpecs before!"

Was about to type something like "oh hey, great site huh" or something similar, but my computer crashed as I was typing.
