    Stupid question here, but why the medium lasers instead of, say, small pulse? Is it the virtue of range?

    Medium lasers & AC20 both have 270m yes. Considering you're a heavy with 77KPH instead of a light with 150KPH, SPL are hard to use in quick play. I'd recommend them over MLs in Solaris.

    Ran this build on my own -3N. I'm not sure it's a full five stars, but it certainly isn't a slouch either.

    @NLR I would look for a means of packing a C.A.S.E. module under the Gauss Rifle, in case the enemy gets lucky. Having run a twin Light Gauss build on the 1N variant, I can assure you that a lack of C.A.S.E. has done me in even with a light engine.
