Update of the famous classic build with Civil War Techs. Upgrade of the engine 350 --> 375 Change MLas --> ERMLas = Same range with the 3 LPLas Possibility to keep 5 MLas : You lose the range synchronisation between LPLas but you save Heat (0.9 by MLas) and the cooldown of MLAs is very proche of LPLas (quite the same with the 5% Quirk cooldown bonus for MLas). The choice dépend of your play style. If you want to be optimal around 400m/500m and occasionnaly shoot at 600m, use the ERMLas. If you prefere to be more performant in a brawl, MLas save 4.5 heat per Alpha and have exactly the same cooldown with LPLas. It's perfect for torso twisting. ERMLas version : MLas version (3% more Cool Eff.) : Last possibility, a mixe. Use 3 ERMLas on all the hight mounted hardpoint (Head and the 2 last in the left torso) for have a long rang to Hill Poking and use MLas in the low mounted hardpoint to save Heat. I think it's a good compromise.
5/5, Deadliest IS laservomit, only held back by relatively low hardpoints compared to the Battlemaster.
5/5, One of the best mid-range vomit laser builds you can have across every IS mech so far. I personally used succesfully the last build provided (3xLPL, 3xERML, 2xML) because the non-ER MLs are actually better for those situations when you have to brawl (and if that is the case, most of the times they are closer than 300 meters).
Is this skill tree any good for this or is it terrible? https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/?p=jsonbin1.5b1f24897c92e047942635bf#s=Mech Operations Rework for + laser duration - armor https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/?p=jsonbin1.5b1f28ae1c63b64793859da5#s=Weapons
UPDATE: with banshee hardpoint rework, you have to fit 2 lasers before you can use the highest hardpoints. For this reason, you can't exploit anymore 3xLPL + 3xERML high hardpoints and fire them in "periscope" mode. IMHO is no more worth it as an invasion build, but it still fun and works well in pugs and solos thanks to speed and pinpoint. Latest and working build is a 3xLPL, 1xERML, 4xML (low mounted) build. With the recent DHS patch is a hell lot cooler and nastier close range once you can fire those cool 4xML.
I'm running it with 5 regular ML, and it's still plenty hot. With the DHS rework it's nice that the 3LPL are essentially heatneutral though
Exactly: if you "micromanage" your weapon groups and avoid exposing yourself, you can achieve a lot of free trades with those high-mounted 3xLPL + 1xERML 4xML should be used only in case of "emergency" or during a brawl. If not force to brawl, you should stick to hill poking to achieve the best trades.
