  1. Ghost heat has been increased by a factor of 15, but double tapping no longer generates ghost heat (July 19-21, 2016). Chainfire, use two groups of two, or macro it up. Currently you can only alpha once before overheating on most maps.


    DPS version. Drop heatsinks for ammo,TC1 or armor as you see fit.


    Alternate from Solamha with better speed.


    A couple small lasers for hitting the CQC deadzone and when you run out of ammo.

    Nearly the build I did the moment I started tinkering with the KDK-3. I am using a slightly larger engine (360) and only got 10t of ammo (2.5t per UAC), but added double cERML as backup. The latter are much more in line with the concept of the build for me.

    That is the go to build. I tried it with the XL400 and it wasn't heat efficient. I'll try it again once I've levelled it up.
     
  5. Yah, that has been working the best for me. Now that I've got the thing elite'd, I'll try messing around with less heat sinks.

    This is a beast. I haven't even been running it with the XL. I ran it with an off the shelf STD 280 (Slow as can be!) because I'm broke and still did 900 damage. I can't wait to get a 350 or similar for it.

    After some testing I went with the 400XL build as well. Managing ghost heat while double tapping is a bit tricky, you need to get used to the rythm or use a macro :cautious: (tested a chainfire off all 4 UACs with 240ms delay and it does not trigger ghost heat but cycles fast enough to get the second shot per weapon)
