So here's an A-symmetric BJ-1 Build. I've only played 1 round with the AC/20, but it is mean. The high mobility lets you lug it around the battle unlike the Hunchback AC/20 builds I've played. It's surprisingly heat efficient and WILL punch holes in other mediums and give serious damage to Heavies and above. Just stick with the teammates and don't get targeted!

This almost the exact same build, except you drop the AC/20 for an AC/10 with 1 more hint sink and 1 more medium laser. This is also an extremely brutal build. I average about 500-700 damage in rounds that I don't get insta-gibbed the AC/10 can be fired stand alone with almost no heat generation, so you can pound out damage and save the MLas for kill shots or bursting damage.

As with both of these builds, having all four jump jets on these Mech's seems pretty damn essential!

    Lemme know what ya think.

These builds look great! Only thing I would say that is a "negative" is that the title states "Max Armor" when that is not the (displayed) case. Granted one can drop a JJ, or ammo etc. and make it Max Armor, but I feel it is misleading to state something in the title description that isn't presented or mentioned within the descriptions of both builds. Otherwise great builds!!

Sorry about that! I thought it was when I typed the title, then figured out the armor values didn't work EXACTLY hah. Damn near close. Thank you though

I made an almost identical version of this thing. I called it the 'Pappa Urbanmech', lol. It really is an over sizied Urby. Slight difference in mine though. I run a 235XL, 4 tons AC/20 ammo, ML and 2 SL. Same concept though. It's so much fun to hang out and defend your Atli, and jumping over the top of your 100 ton road block and choking enemy mechs with AC/20 shells. Like 48 said, DON'T GET TARGETED. In this High-alpha game we currently have *eyeroll* you can literately be one-shot by those assholes.

For some extra fun, get 3 more friends to make this mach and roll an Urban Pack. it's silly fun. Just stay low and wait for someone to break off from the group and then jump on him with AC/20's flying!

Drop to a XL200 and gain 1.5 tons net while losing 9 kph.

I'm currently piloting a variant of this mech, with an AMS.
It requires to lower the engine to an XL200 (or a 195 is you want full armor, but you'll be force to mount only 3 JJ), but it's still manoeuvrable.

I also prefer to strip some armor on the laser arm too, rather than everything from the legs. Legs are usefull, especially when you jump a lot, especially when it's where you store your ammo :D

Hello, this is a build i've been using on my BJ-1.
I've gotten this build from watching Sean Lang's play on the NGNG stream.
I'm not the creator of this build and should not get credit for it, but since i could not find it here i figured id post it.

This build revolves around using your speed and jets to outmaneuver your opponents and evade fire around terrain while using the AC/20 + 3x Med Lasers.

I decided to try this build, and I can honestly say I have not had this much fun in MWO. This build is a blast (literally.

Its funny to watch nubs get AC20 and freak out :)

And its competitive to. 5 Star build.

The AC20 version is a (C)hampion Mech now. I took the opportunity to re-try the chassis again shortly after the patch, and man is this a mean mech. Pretty fast, agile and an evil loadout. I scored 580 damage during my first run with it and am now strongly considering trying the bunch of BJs again, as my first try was when the Jacks were released and the the -1x only by the time.

The (C) version even comes with the XL235 needed for all the non-1X versions, but only 1 JJ in comparison to your build. Nevertheless it's the same mech:

The AC/10 variant is so much fun I actually made a account here just to say how much I liked it.
My personal change was to drop a few JJ's and ammo for a AMS but I still give credit to the OP here for how much fun I have had with it.

Ghetto YLW standard engine version. Slower, can't zombie, less ammo, but has JJ and left side for shield (at cost of 1 ML).

There is a reason this is a champion mech: This build is downright NASTY.

I cut a little leg armor for a bigger engine and another jump jet. The extra height is valuable in many situations.

    5/5,
    Bumping up the classic builds.
Two similar builds around, difference is in the engine rating and the number of ML.
