Great brawler. Fast @ 96kph, High flying with 4 JJ, hard hitting @ 64 alpha, and amazingly heat efficient. I am loving this mech!

 

Why not SPlas and a TC1? You lose .16 max DPS but gain 6 seconds of fighting and a higher crit rate owing to the TC and the SPLas cooldown.

You should also know that with the SPLas Range 5 mod and TC1, the max range of CL-SPLas is 340 with an effective range of 191. Just something to consider.



Even if you wanted to keep the Ferro, you could add more ammo and armor.

 

After the first few fundrops in the Lurm version of the IIC-B. I moved to this build. Solid, SRM platform.

 

What's the difference between Side Torso and Leg ammo storage when you have a cXL?
I would agree if it is IS mech but not clan.
Clan mech have CASE in all parts anyways, if anything the leg is safer than the Side Torso where it is part of the engine.
You blow off a leg and some ammo. A Side Torso crit would take some engine out on top of weapons and ammo.

 

I prefer the 2 ER Med. build. Very efficient.
