I haven't seen this posted anywhere so I thought I would put it up as I am thinking of using one now that I have a K2 and am grinding it. Looks pretty deadly with great heat!

That's pretty much what I used to pilot except I stripped off most of the armour in the arms for another ton of ammo. It's definitely a lethal setup.

Well since they nerfed PPCs this last patch, I haven't been jump sniping, and tried my old K2 gaussapult build tonight. It wrecks :D Very similar to your loadout Michael, but slower to fit more ammo

Since they changed the zoom module, landing headshots or targeting weakened sections of mechs is cake. I also stack the sensor range module with a BAP for that long range targeting.

Here is some of the matches I just played with this loadout:

I also have an couple old videos playing a very similar loadout back in closed beta:

I think a middleground between the two above builds would be wise. The XL300 is indeed mobile, but sacrifices several tons of ammo to do so. One only needs so much mobility in a fragile, medium/long ranged engaging mech.

The XL200 build, on the other hand, is indeed equipped to the gills, but remember that engine size is what your twist speed is based off of. A 200 rated engine will be sluggish, in terms of mobility as well as torso based aiming. So I'm going with the ammo of the 200 build, with the no-frills accessories of the 300 build, all aboard the highly weight efficient XL255.

Tfun90's build with the 255XL and 70 ammo is what I'm liking. ^_^ Working on Elite for this mech after I bought the Jester... I didn't expect it to be this enjoyable!

  7. You could run an LE250, but maybe there are better options to run slow 2x Gauss.

XL295, 5 ton of ammo (worth 6 ton of ammo, 30 strikes, with maxed skills)
This one is probably the best compromise between speed, armor and ammo.
