    I know that fitting an additional pinpoint weapon looks gorgeous (I've tried it on a Mauler), but you can't alfa strike more than 2-3 times without overheating for a increase of 10 damage... Which is not very good.

    The point is: to avoid ghost heat, you need to delay the shot of 0.5s, which is not what you want if you have to face the pressure of multiple enemies.

    With laser duration skills, you will drop the laser duration of a Medium Laser from 0.9s to 0.76s, so you can achieve a "similar" performance with more damage and more range (thanks to the TC1) with better damage/heat efficiency. Since this mech also has a -10% energy heat generation, you could even fit ERML and have good sync between your shoots.

    The build you could try is very similar to my MAL-2P "King Tonberry" which has 2xHGauss + 6xML but no way the same tank like the annihilator.

    Enojy stomping people at close range, Heavy Gausses are incredibly fun at short ranges in the right matches. Just aim for the center torso and watch as your targets get wrecked in no time :D

    That's not necessarily the point of the PPC. It's purely supplemental for opening/closing your shot salvo. More for the intimidation factor or getting people to turn from their torso-twisting. Like the H. Gauss, you want concentrated damage vs. burn time and spreading that damage.
