Playing around with new tech. Now if I could aim better at range with the MRM's. If I don't get the hang of it soon, SRM's may be a better match as they seem to hit much harder at the ranges I am already shooting with no minimum to worry about. Until then, this is quite fun. Suprised how effective that 1JJ can be btw.
I don't think MRMs have a minimum range, but the velocity makes them difficult to use at range, yes. You forgot the armor on your right leg If you went down to a much more weight efficient Light Engine 300, you could mount a lot more jump jets/DHS. I put MPL on instead of ERML using the tonnage though, becuase MPL are love!
Yes, I have been having issues with weights on mechlab for some reason. I just noticed, it should be Endo also. I corrected that.
With the range your working with for medium pulse lasers, why would you not run SRMs? Also you can already do mrm 40 on a hunchback 4SP, with 3 Flamers.
I could run 2 regular SRM6, but MRM10 deals almost as much damage, at a much longer range with more disruption. The spread of non-artemis 6s is also kinda disappointing. two SRM4 (with artemis) deals less damage, though it's faster to fire.
If you can fit MRM30 or MRM20 you get better heat management. It'd be one of those things tho where you have to check slots, and tonnage to make sure it isn't better to just run more heatsinks.
The 2 increased heat from 2xMRM10 over 1xMRM20 is not a big factor compared to the heat the MPLs put out. It weighs 1 ton less though, so that's another DHS or jumpjet to improve mobility or counteract the total heat of weapons
I modified this a bit. I call it the MkII version. LOL The bigger pod makes a bigger difference then I first thought it would.
