Wow, the Critics are devastating. RT is telling us that the movie is worse than Marvel's Age of Ultron (which was imo all CGI Spectacle and very little Story Content) Have seen the movie, it was what i expected from Snyder - just like 300 with strong Visuals and controversial contents. I liked it, because it was very refreshing in contrast to the Marvel Movies or the prior Batman Movie Versions. And the part with Wonder Woman and her music Theme was absolutely great. I'd say solid 7/10 (10 for Visuals/Sounds, 4 for plot). And I'm more of a Marvel Fan than DC's.
I seriously don't get the negative reviews. Of course, it's not a genre defining reinvention of cinema. But I did find it a really good film, albeight a bit long,... The review that best fits with how I perceive the movie is this one. If you want 2 and a half hours of good superhero cinema, awesome effects in a somewhat pompous style. Go for it. If you don't like batman or superman, stay home. If you thought Afleck would ruin batman. Go and be proven wrong.

Still we see a bombastic spectacle. I really want to see more of this new Batman-A**hole in a solo adventure, maybe prequel and telling what was going on before.
Afleck is acceptable as Batman, but this movie is more about Wayne. Afleck has done his job playing Wayne.
After watching the movie a 2nd time, i really would have modified the following 7 things in the plot (avoiding Spoliers, just alternate Story) to make the story much more meaningful: 1. Opening: It begins with the Introduction of Bruce Wayne as he enters his Building in Metropolis and ready up for a meeting. We get to know his employee - all nice people. Then all of a sudden disaster alert - Thunder in the distance, buildings crushing down. Bruce tells his ppl to immediately leave the building! Then suddenly Superman and Zod arrive and destroying the whole building. Bruce can save a lot of ppl, but he fails to save a family - the parents die, only the child - a boy - survives. Bruce is shocked, because of his own childhood story. His old psychotrauma, which he forgot already for a long time, suddenly is back and its right in front of his eyes -> The Super Beings, which can destroy your world - and Bruce as human feels powerless just like in the past when his parents got killed. This is the beginning of Batmans (new) Doubt in Superman. And Doubt is the beginning for Fear, Fear leads to Anger, when he again sees that innocent people get killed. And the rest you know already. Let Bruce have a Love Interest at this time, which later would seemingly get killed by Supe (but is a Trick by Lex) - which would be the straw that breaks the camel's back -> Bruce gears up for the ultimate takedown. 2. Supe's Reason to fight Bats: Several natural Desasters happening around the world (not as desastrious as the world engine in MoS, but enough to get Supe's attention) - all caused by hi-tech weapons. Lots of ppl in danger - Supe's saving a lot of ppl and he is really a nice guy - I mean super nice! Everyone loves him. And he is really showing a bright side to everyone (way more likable than in MoS). But Supe's angry about who is the guy behind all these miseries. Later he gets info that Wayne's Company was researching all the tech used for the weapons. He is really pissed by then (another Trick by Lex, also Wayne Company is a main rival to LexCorp, and Lex has double reason to take down both). 3. Lois Lane's Role: She is the Key Person in the whole plot. How? -> She is the first to notice some inconsistencies in the suspicions about Wayne's Company's Guilt for the natural desasters. She does her journalism job, flying around the world and collects clues - but instead getting a whole picture she just have several puzzle pieces. So she directly confronts Bruce Wayne and asks him directly what's all about the Hi-Tech Weapons she found out and if Wayne's Company is actually researching such Weapons. Bruce tell her that his company has nothing to do with it and promises her to find out the truth (at this moment Bruce does not know that Lois is Supe's Love Interest), which leads to Bats Demo of his superior master detective work! Later she is also the first to see through Lex' Masterplan and desperately rush to the battlezone to dissuade both boys to fight each other. 4. Lex Jr: LexCorp was always after Hi-Tech to make big profit, for decades. Also cooperating with the government and military (in fact infiltrating and manipulating them). Since the arrival of the Kryptonians Lex Senior was always interested in the Superior Tech they have brought to earth. And after the events in MoS he could steal the kryptonian spaceship and learning a lot about Supe. But Supe always sabotaged his evil work (even though not knowing Lex Sen. personally and also never found out about him), so the company was severely hit financially whenever Supe can destroy their labs, factories etc. Gradually crashing. But before Lex Senior could defeat Supe, he got dead-ill since he was researching on dangerous tech (Radioactivity etc). Before he dies he gives his son Lex Jr all the knowledge about his achievements. He also plants the sick belief of Supe's Guilt for his death and the reason for the fall of LexCorp. He also mentions Wayne Enterprise as main rival. For Lex Jr his Daddy was a nice guy, always loving him, and giving him everything he wanted as a child. So now when he loses everything he has big reason to take revenge on Supe. Lex Jr is a more brilliant mind than his old man, so he can finish things that his father could not on technology. So Lex Jr's Masterplan: Defeat Supe and then control/use him, crush Wayne Enterprise and get back to full dominance in the global business, fullfill the last wish of his father and be a good Junior! And all that without the ppl knowing him doing all the dirty work. Later when Bats infiltrates his Labs to collect evidence - Lex can catch him with his strike force and later can brainwash Bats by using tech to intensify his fear+anger for Supe. Making him a tool to distract Supe, while he can target another big plan - world domination! 5. Wonder Woman's Role: She is way older than Batman and Supe. That's clear from the comic source. But she somehow got passive the last century, because she somehow got very very disappointed (by mankind?). So when Zod arrived and Supe fought him in MoS, she just was a spectator and just helped saving ppl from the desaster. At least she is kind to the innocents. Later she meets Lois and ofc she as WW already know whats happening on the world with all the hi-tech weapons. She doesn't want to intervene in mankind's history, because she now believes that mankind shall solve its own problem. But somehow she likes Lois good nature, so she helps her indirectly, giving her clues. Lois meets her a second time, but this time she can recognize that she is special - she saw her rescuing ppl. So there is another talk what she is and what she knows about everything - this time WW reveals to her, why she wants to stay in the shadows and not wanting to fight the big villains in the world anymore. But Lois tell her something very important, something very naive and ideal - something WW herself believed when she was very young. So Lois actually reminds her on her younger self. WW disappears. But later when the last act begins and the showdown battle is almost about to end (in favor of Lex), WW gets very thoughtful about Lois phrases and recognize that its about damn time to be active again for the sake of being true to oneself -> be a damn amazonian warrior princess! Sh*t on that passiveness. (So Lois is again a key person) 6. Final Battle: Teamwork pls! Supe's saving all the thousands of innocent ppl during the whole desastrious battle. Wonder Woman's doing the main CQC to hold back the enemy. Supe tells Bats to take Lois out of the battlezone. Now! While Supe and WW are busy, Lex can bring on a deadly mega-weapon on the government. Alfred gives Bats that Intel and also that Bruce' Love Interest is not dead, but kept by Lex as a hostage. So he decides to rush to LexCorp with his Batwing to get Lex and force him to push the emergency-measure button and stop the evil madness and save his chick (which could be the actress which is cut out of the theatrical version). In the building he shows his superior Fighting Skills (just like the moves in the video games) against an army of bruisers. So the final battle is split into three levels. On each level the heroes are fighting desperately. 7. Teasers for the upcomings: All of them shifted to the End after the Final Battle (Teasers are interesting but they are most times confusing), e.g. Bruce Wayne gets access to some of Lex Researches. And part of this discovery is Lex already deciphered some intel about the cosmos and other alien races etc. -> Rotten Tomatoes Score would be saved! lol
