I don't see too many Atlas' out there anymore, so I figure i'd mess around with this "meta" build I've been working on. The Atlas-D has some really nice survival quirks, and I really enjoy large pulse lasers and ultra AC/5s. They seem to work so well together. The LRM can be switched out for a SRM if you like that more. Weapon groups: 1) 2x Ultra AC/5 (Left mouse button) 2) 3x large pulse (Right mouse button) 3) LRM 10 (Mouse thumb button or hotkey like "E" on keyboard) 4) 1x large pulse (on your right arm for hugging with the ultra ACs) (Shift key or space bar)
10 tubes doesn't seem like a whole lot. I'd just take the missile hardpoint off entirely to up the engine size and DHS.
I like your changes. You can spam the LPL a lot more. And if you wanted to run AMS since this isn't the Atlas DC....
