And now I see why you don't care about that tonnage. Transcript at the end, when we were working on caps: "I'm going to Theta as fast as my 88 ton Dire Wolf will take me" "88 tons...what do you have in that thing?" "2 LRM20s and 12 small pulse" "You really shouldn't put LRMs on a Dire Wolf because you should be in the fight" "Yeah, that's why I have 12 small pulse and I did," (was about to say "pretty good" when the screen came up) "HOLY @#$!, 1158 damage!" "Wow, you eclipsed my 911. Sorry, thought you said 6 small pulse. That makes more sense."
There's a reason I asked the question instead of just arguing with you. I was pointing out that it seemed a bit silly, but I wanted to hear your opinion on why you did it that way, because maybe you could educate me, or at the very least start a debate between us that would educate someone else on the pros and cons of going max-slots, under-weight. If I just wanted to be a jerk I would have said, "wow, you're an idiot for only putting 88 tons in a dire wolf get a life noob." And that just doesn't seem very constructive. (I think I made a similar comment on another build of yours, let me find it...ah, yes, this Kodiak build, but in that case I was just trying to be funny). Now, in general I would say if you're under tonnage, then you could probably do the build better on another Mech, but in this case there doesn't appear to be anything in the Assault range that can do 2 missiles and 12 energy, which is why I didn't make that specific comment here.
Sorry skribs but my english its not suffisent to explain why i was not ironic in my respond. That why i dont speak in my video i am terrible in communication.
Don't worry, it's hard to convey tone over text. Your mastery of written English is better than most people who grew up speaking it as their only language.
Changed the thread title to 'DWF-B...' for you. The build caught my interest, but as soon as I started tinkering it evolved into something like this: Not as murderous close-up, but a lot of firepower up to 600m. Please note I changed the right arm to an -A as this gives you a lower arm actuator. This one is a bit closer to the original build.
Aylek, I do like your build and was looking for a way to make this a bit deadlier at medium range. The problem I had with this build the LRMs are great at softening things up, but hard to use when you're facing a firing line at 400m. I think of this build (in the OP) as more of a short-range build, and the LRMs are useful for when you're moving towards the fight and to encourage enemies to get close to you to counter your LRMs, only to walk into your SPLs.
