I spent some time dumping MWO stats in excel again. Seemingly I truly enjoy playing faction warfare and need more mechs to level.
If you win, you get bigger bonuses. As you rank up you can unlock Mechbays. There's also really long queues. I barely play it.
I never liked FP untill a couple of months ago, mainly because I didn't have enough good mechs for any "competitive" play. Now I love it: if you play alone, you still risk to find other newbies / deaf guys who won't listen, but by pleading loyalty and the new QP modes in FP, more people are playing it and you often have to wait lessa than 2 minutes to find a game. EDIT: Quick Play income: from 80'000 to 500'000, with a mean of 100'000 (loss) and 200'000 (win), with games that ranges from 5 to 15 minutes Faction Play income: from 400'000 to 1'500'000, with a mean of 600'000 (loss) and and 1'100'000 (win), with games that ranges from 15 to full 30 minutes. If you are earning less, I do have pleged loyalty to a faction, using at least 1 hero/special mech per game and have premium bonus.
Faction play really got a nice boost with the new system. As you only have IS vs Clan, waiting time is nigh non-existent. Try to play in group or you still will get stomped like crazy (Unless you get the luck of being dropped with an all-star collective and they decide to communicate). I can't remember a FP drop in the new system where I earn less than 800k. I rarely even earn below the million. (that is with premium and the occasional hero)
VOIP VOIP VOIP (and enough common sense to drop your ideas and join suit when the team clearly doesn't follow) With the new FP system, the odds of bad drops are similar to normal quick play. With the only difference that a stomp hurts more and lasts longer. All this negativity always
How are waiting Times recently? Last time in tried to get into a FP Match took me more than 3 minutes and i simply gave up waiting
They are getting worse. From less than a minute, I've ended up waiting even for 10 or more minutes. I think this is due to the fact that once a "match room" is created, the game won't create a new match / room untill an opposing team is found for the first one.
Well, it also depends on how many people are online, when you are looking for a match and if there are events to farm. Most of the times, if there is an event which favors pugs match, you won't find many players on faction play.
Its almost like you're in a FP unit so like FP.... The reasons most solo players avoid FP and its occupants like the plague isn't hard to find. A lot of toxic units (no I'm not calling your unit toxic as never seen you in FP but there are a lot out there) that just farm for planet MC and general rewards. Best thing is people try FP for the events and its such an awful environment that 99% of them never return outside it. Everyone in a unit just points the finger elsewhere or blames the solo player themselves for not wanting to be rolled repeatedly. Split solo players from the/your 12 mans and maybe then it might be a positive experience but as long as units easy mode farm its a terrible experience for everyone except the farmers.
