I've opened about 20 of these or so, and never got anything I thought was worth the MC except a 200k + CBill a couple of times. I sincerely doubt I'll be opening these any more unless I've been given free keys. Also, the rolls are definitely not equal across all items. I'm sure the vast majority of you already know this, but the chance of you getting an item in the cache is relative to its color code. If it's light blue, then that's what you should bank on getting. If the only thing you want in the cache is orange then you might as well give up while you're ahead. **EDIT** In hindsight I feel like this post has a little more tooth than I intended. If there is an item in a cache that is something I really want, no matter the color, I hold on to it for when I do have the free keys. However, if there are no items that are particularly calling to me then I just sell it. I wouldn't say I'd never buy keys for MC, but it's very, very low priority.
I think the 'Supply Caches' may be a scam. You can have a cache filled with orange (very rare, usually cost MC) items, and only 1 or 2 common items. Sure enough, the "wheel" will land on the common item about 90% of the time. How much MC and frustration are you willing to gamble? The best prize is a fucking mech bay so just spend 7 bucks and buy 4 of em. That clip you posted is great. @ 15:07 I think PGI should really heed this advice... There should not be any prizes inside a supply cache that only cost c-bills or less than 25MC Great thread
I won an AC2. I'd like to thank PGI for this opportunity to take part in the event that led my to my rightful prize.
I've learned not to gamble as I have really poor luck. I rather take the money and flush it, than spin the wheel.
I still mainly use the free keys - I decide based on the common prizes and max prize. Had a couple of mech bays but still only that original mech which in fairness was a clan assault so worth a lot. Mostly its decent weapons though as I pick carefully or garbage as its a mech for top prize I take a punt on. Interested to see what the new caches tomorrow drop.
