So will this be the 'Headshot' Mech, DOA??!

 

Going by the number of huge cockpits that aren't oneshottable because the hitbox shunts to the torso, I'm guessing the Cyclops will have the same syndrome where all but a very small portion at the center of the eye goes to the center torso.

VERY curious what the stats on the improved sensors and ally buff will be.

 

By the book it should be a good Headshot mech though...

 

The actual design reminds me Geths from Mass Effect games

 

I might bite. The Hero especially looks like it would be very expensive to buy via MC, which, considering the large XL, the DHS etc should cost north of 7000MC. The hero can mount 4xAC5s, and it looks like they will be higher mounted than the Maulers ACs. I'm still chucking at whoever thought of the Hero loadout, 2 Gauss rifles mounted in the STs with an XL engine... brilliant! You don't really do it on a Clan mech, much less an IS mech.

Pity the only ECM variant is in the reinforcements. Overall though, the variants seem to be all very different. The 7 missile hardpoint one might be a lot of fun.

 

Looks like they just bada$$ified the classic design here. I like the hardpoints, but I have never warmed up to assault mechs... except for maybe stalker.

 

Huginn and Sleipnir are both on that mech's paint job. Lots of Futhark runes and the all seeing eye. Love it.

 

Not sure What Huginn and Sleipnir have to do with Cyclops, but I do like the Valknut, all the Nordic knots. I don't see runes though.... except for maybe on the helm

 

It's a stretch, but... Cyclops have one eye. Odin sacrificed an eye to gain certain knowledge, which ties in the Norse mythology. And yeah, that one rune. I hope there are more, but eh.

 

Should have given the Hero Name to an eight legged Mech.

btw now we need other Heroes called Muninn, Geri and Freki

 

What a shame that exchange rate for USD-PLN is about 1:3,91

What was shown about the PHX that made you skip it?

 

U wish there is a pirate skulls and crossbones paintjob somwhere in the baconeer paintjob series... love to paint it black and white.
