    Welcome to the Dozen Down Club, where you post images of matches in which you achieved 12 kills in the game. They can be standard Quick Play matches or Faction Warfare matches.

    Yes I know there is an in game achievement when you get 12 kills, but outside of a bug in game, how often does somebody actually achieve that one? Seriously the last time I saw somebody get the Death Star was over a year ago when that massive disconnect bug was happening.

    Now when it comes to CW/FW I know it tends to happen a bit more. It's still not very common, but for the better T1 and T2 players it might happen once every couple months or so. For me personally it just happened for the first time last night. After seeing my kill counter full and once the match ended I came straight here looking for the thread for it. I couldn't find one though.

    So here it is. If you have achieved 12 kills in a match, regardless if it was in QP or FW, post it here and let us gloat.

    I missed out on Death Star when that bug hit because the one idiot on the other team that managed to connect got killed by a turret. In a King Crab

    If there were turrets, you wouldn't have gotten a "Death Star" anyways ;)

    Why do you say that? It was back when Assault mode still had turrets, probably close to a year ago.

    This ^^ I still am of the opinion they need to add the turrets back in for Assault. Maybe even Domination too.

    Were the kills and dmg evenly spread over the 3 mechs you used? Or which ones did all the damage?

    12 kills in cw is not at all a rarity for decent players, it's more of a regular thing. Especially if you play cw alot and/or use ballistic heavy dropdecks.
     
  16. Most of the damage typically comes from the DWFs.

    Wow! Not a dropdeck I ever would have considered, but your's has certainly got me interested in trying it. What was the loadout on that DWF-A? And what was with the teamkill?

    Running 11 tons of ammo on first DWF and 12 tons on second DWF
    Consult your team before running it on invasion, but does good on defense.

    I was very tore up and got hit by friendly LRM fire. It happens.

    I think 12 kills happens a lot more then you might think. No matchmaker, so stomps can happen a lot. Both ways.

    A couple of the guys in the 228 have told me the same thing. Maybe we would change this thread title to Two Dozen Down.

    Even though I don't play CW much, I figured I'd have this one in the bag easily. That said, searching well over 1,000 screenshots, I was shocked to see I've only gotten the Dirty Dozen twice. Although multiple times I've had games with damage in the 3000-4000+ range, my CW builds are designed to wear down enemy mechs, and don't have as much direct kill blow potential as, say, gauss/LPL or gauss/PPC coring monsters. Still, I had these two to share:

    I only tend to play CW when they do big events (this ensuring most matches will be PUG vs PUG, and thus actually fun to play), but I've had a few PUG vs 10 or 12 man matches where we've beaten the big groups down ;) My overall damage record stands at 4637 in one match, using only two of my mechs (both my GHR-5J's, 3 ERLL/2MLas, max engine, and 4 JJs) on Grim Portico, and we were the attackers ;) Even that one though only pulled in 10 kills, but about 23 Most Damage Dealt. I think that should've counted ;p

    Edit: I know this one doesn't qualify, but I couldn't resist posting it...since RJ was in RRB at the time this happened ;p If anyone EVER tells you that VOIP is useless in CW, this is the exact picture I reply with every time...because VOIP is how we won this fight.
