Going through my Clan mechs I keep to the stock omnipods while skilling up each, to find a way to make them work. Also gives me a better/wider view point on what the chassis can do instead of finding 1 thing I like and repeating it 3 times.

The GAR-P being a very rough one to get working limited weapon slot + slots you do ahve take alot of space or tonnage hard to get a mixture that really brings a good punch.

After trying a ton of different versions from AC20 to LRM boat ended up going back to almost stock load out but swapped out the LBX5 for LBX2 to get a bit more damage potential long term with more ammo.

It has been working rather well for me I don't have damage output of DW of course but still getting respectable games up to 1000 damage. Add on LBX2 has a very nice side benefit I have not been able to get with other setups and a real downfall of the Gargoyles. It causes people to back off, there getting hit so fast and often very rarely will people stay out against it. So I can use it to get people to scatter and or back out of sight which helps the team as it removes that incoming damage from enemies team. Without that effect people tend to just take the damage and blaze away they know the Gar can't output large amounts of damage so they ignore it otherwise.

    5/5,
I really like it. I was running stock version with some medium success. But this one is fun and deadly. Those LBX2 are really so fast.

    5/5,
I tried it out of curiosity. Was very sceptical about it while building and while trying it in the first battle. But it turned out very good. Just look at those w/l and k/d ratios. Look at them!

All 10 battles were in this build (without cAP, with a bit more armor and with minor variations of ammo).

I use and advice to use this weapon grouping:
    1. Left click = left cLBX2
    2. Right click = right cLBX2
    3. Middle click = 2x cSRM6
(In all those battles I used this grouping, except very first one).

    UPDATE:

Naturally, after 42 more battles the values smoothed out to a more regular range. 1.17 w/l and 1.34 k/d.

The main issue with this build: it's really REALLY dependent on team quality. If your team has very low number of tanks and brawlers, you're screwed. If your team has only coward LRM-assaults, you're screwed.

If your has is bad, you're screwed regardless of a mech, but in this build, it's especially nasty, because you end up with 0 kills, 1 assist and 100 dmg. Even more, sometimes people tell you that you have useless build.

And they're a bit right, it is often useless even in good matches, it needs certain factors to be present: either a decent team or at least some good brawlers or tanks.

Anyway, I recommend you to try it, for the sake of unusual experience. Also, it has good w/l and k/d for me, so it earned its five stars. Yet, I'm moving on to some kind of more versatile build.

Maybe drop to SR4 and get more dakka ammo?
Either that or get some energy backup.

My Hunchie IIC eat through more ammo than that in most matches, just saying.

I agree, ammo amount is insufficient. Addresing that, I added just a half ton more dakka ammo and it depleted only once in a couple of ten battles. Gargoyle is much less agile than any Hunchie, so you have much fewer opportunities to land dakka on the enemies throughout the battle. Therefor, I guess, it's not a build in which it's possible to do 1000 damage, because battles just don't last so long. But I don't care, because through 24 battles it gave me 2.0 w/l and 2.4 k/d, which is nice too.

Been away for awhile friend dragged me back in. Good to know its been working for others. It does seem a bit odd but keep moving and shaking it can really do the job.

Still have it on my Gargoyle realized I had sort of duplicated this build on my Hellbringer LOL.

Going to SRM4 isnt bad idea, but currently noticing no one goes for legs. So when I pull her out of the moth balls going to trim her leg armor down for an extra ton of SRM ammo. and see how things go from there
