    Primary Configuration

    Alternate Configuration

The Alternate Configuration is for people who want a little more heat management ability by dropping the XL from 330 to 320 and adding an extra internal DHS.

The original credit for this build (the Alt Configuration) goes to Basarek

I'm torn between the Primary and Altnerate Configurations. I know it is only 5kph loss in speed but 5kph is 5 kph!!!!

Depends on whether you need more heat management or not

I'm thinking of working on a BAP build as well but am not sure yet as this has SRM4s and doesn't require the lock on that SSRMs do.

Eh, if I'm going to do SRM4s, I'd rather do it on a Jenner 7D. With the 2 tubes on here, I like my 325 XL + BAP with the SSRM build.

Definitely how i run my X-5, its fantastic. Some people like 6's but 3 volleys is just too long for me. 2 is easy to hit with.

Yeah, I picked up an X5 on sale over the weekend and tried the SRM6 build, though I found I could really only connect with the first 2 volleys, since I would need to disengage by the time the third volley came out. So far, this SRM4 build is much better for my playstyle, and doesn't require a reduction to the engine size.

This is how I run my x5. I love not having to buy a new engine and the srm4 is best with the x5's missile tubes. Full stars from me.

The Primary Configuration is how I like to run the X5. I've tried others but I always find myself back to the 4MLas/2SRM4s/XL330 set up. It's fast, remarkably durable, can chase/take down lights, and can excels at flying through the battlefield taking out the weak and wounded. As the below screenshot can attest.
    Match score 87, 5 kills, 4 assists, 581 damage

5 stars for speed, solid damage capability and solid survivablity. I'd give it 6 stars for fun-factor alone, if I could. ;)

    5/5,
This is still THE classic build for the X5. 400m range on the MLas calculating quirks and modules are awesome and the firepower and DPS added by the SRMs is dangerous for bigger mechs as well.

Thinking of this actually... more of a bomber type.

I like enileph's version, though it needs more ammo and probably heat efficiency too in a brawl :)
Swapping 1 ML for a ton SRM ammo should do fine in both regards.

Well, swap the DHS for ammo and/or drop down to XL295, you can even shave a wee bit of armor.
