Has to be done. We will have to wait for Clan Made PPC. Probably the most useless of the locusts. PS: RECREATED FROM PRE-RELEASE. MK II, less speed, more armor.
I saw this build in the wild today. Seemed to work pretty well for the pilot as he held his own in a dual with a spider. Will probably try it out since everything else I've tried on this chassis pretty much sucks.
Is it just me drinking to much, or you have 18 armor points on the legs on smurfy? :whacko: Anyway, I tried that build. I had one or two good games, the others were pain. I don't like how the weapon is placed on the torso, it makes it hard to aim. It's better than the standard LL build though.
Had this idea myself. The MLas and 4x Machine Gun build is min/max but with that loadout it is just a crappy Spider that can't jump. I already have the champion Spider in my mechbay so I might as well use a Locust build I can laugh about. And a Large Pulse Laser on a Locust is pretty damn funny.
Used this... a awful lot.. I don't like MG's at all. It's pretty hard to aim when u are movin' at full speed. But combinig it with an ECM-Mech and sniping from the distance it can really be a pain in the ass.
Even with the quirks favoring the ER LL, I'm considering this build over the ER LL build because I need more firepower. Even with the quirks, this mech just sucks. I'm sad that this is the locust that gets the bonus (the 1E or 3M would have been my choice). High-DPS, high-time-on-target builds do not work for lights, when will they learn?
5/5, this build is genuinely awesome. consistently 400+ damage in matches, and the quirks effectively give you a second free LPL, only with such low beam duration that its almost point damage. Pretty scary little bastard mech A+
5/5, I just built me one of these for CW after having seen the quirks (I had lost LCT out of sight for awhile now). The burn time is amazingly short. This is a little monster. Came to the site to quickly post the build but clearly am a few years late Next try, ERLL + MG!
5/5, I ran with ERLL+2MG before, but 1 LPL takes the cake imo. Almost pinpoint damage and essentially 7 free tons of firepower because of the quirks. The unique weapon feel, incredibly small size since the patch and unmatched agility make this a very fun mech to play! (Though I still prefer my 3S and 3M over this to be very honest)
