Fixed that for ya Link wasn't working. Losing FF for DHS does mean it can fire better, but at the cost of durability with that XL. Still, being able to fire more is a good thing in my book, and the ENF has decent enough hitboxes to survive an XL with...
aaaaand this is amazing, with the XL engine that is. Having 3/4jj and good cooling is just better than having a STD engine in a mech that has amazing hitboxes / scaling to begin with. I have to say, this is a beast, and it will survive the removal of the weapon quirks because this variant it's not dependent on them. I think the Enforcer will be one of those go-to mechs in the future. And it certainly is my favourite IS medium, just because: Firepower - check Tanky - Check (much more so than the SK imho) Can still dish out without arm - Check Jumpjets - Check
I also had some fantastic results with that build. I use an XL250 engine, 4 JJ (to get me out of trouble) and 3 additional DHS. The right shield arm has only half of the available armor though, but the build basically works great for me.
Thanks. I'm a new player and I really like this build. I was running 2xLLas and 3xMLas before and I'm up maybe 50 damage per game. Also the jump capability is nice. At first I ran it with a STD200 and it was too slow. The XL255 is a big improvement once you can afford one. I don't see much advantage to putting a XL260 in it since you'd lose 1/2 ton of armor and not go much faster. The only thing I don't like is how the lasers are all on one side. But that's just the way the mech is. This will have to do until I can afford a symmetrical heavy mech.
