The money goes towards research grants, helping to diagnose, treat, and cure afflictions that affect thousands of people every year. As we get closer to this event, you might be wondering what kind of prizes we will be offering in the stream. To update, I have a large supply of premium time codes (24 hour, 7 day, and one 30 day so far), and PGI has graciously put up some prizes from the Resistance 2 pack as well, with two Crab-tier packs that will go up for grabs to those who guess the lucky numbers! We're also looking at adding a couple more mechs/mech packs to the prize list before the 7th as well. Donations are accepted, of course, but I will also be purchasing some mechs to give away myself too, so tune in. Just a few weeks to go! More exciting info for me is that I will be streaming as an extended part of Team Rooster Teeth for this Extra Life event. Specifically, we are fundraising for a Magnetoencephalography, or MEG, machine (it's okay if you can't pronounce it) that costs the hospital around 4.1 million dollars. Simply put: this non-invasive brain mapping machine can, within 5mm (because we have to breathe and ruin everything), identify the specific area of the brain that is affected by tumors, causes epilepsy or other neurological conditions in children that make them sick. This machine is the bee's-knees because of how insanely important the information gathered from it is for neurosurgeons when they are performing surgery - especially on children and their developing brains.
