I have a Heavy Metal with Solid Metal build and I love it. I am looking to elite them now. I just have zero clue on whatever the other two should be. I tend to like to grab something similar to what I am running on my hero's (when I have one), and then normally pickup something hybrid that can brawl/snipe and Fire Support also. So, it seems people love the 733P. I am guessing that should be one of the three. So what should be my third?

You can use the 732 and the 733P and share the exact same build between them.

Look up "Fun Times Lite" in both those sections.

Awsome, I see what you mean. I am going to make a copy of my Heavy Metal with the 732 and then use the 733 as a LRM boat to break it up a bit. We will see how it goes. It seems Highlander has VERY similar hardpoints on each.

For exactly that reason I went with 733C and 733P next to my HM. I didn't want to play the same loadout over and over again.

I feel you. This is the big reason why I only have 1 Dragon right now. Anecdotally, the Highlanders P and C play the most different from the others. If you already have HM, though, you may want to try the base 732, though. It's one of the trial 'mechs right now.

Although, (once again, anecdotally) the P and C variants tend to have the most absurd builds.

733C can fit AC/20 or dual UAC/5, none of the other highlanders can do that.
733P can do the hot (both in popularity and in requiring the override button) 4xLL 3xSRM6 build.
The 732 and 733 are more balanced builds, with 1 ballistic and then 3/3 or 2/4 energy/missile hardpoints.

It all depends on what you want, but I would personally do the C and P first.

What is the verdict between 732, 733 and Heavy Metal then?
Is Heavy Metal worth it other than the great paint job?

I have both 733C and 733P already, looking for a third.

Heavy Metal is great because of the arm-mounted energy weapons. The 733 can carry an impressive amount of SRMs in addition to some big energy and ballistics. The 732 was the sniper of choice for many players, but seems to have fallen out of favor recently.

If you don't want to spent RL $ for the HM, go for the 733 I'd say.

HM with Gauss, 3x LLas, 2x SRM4 - middle range terror

    733C with 2x PPC, 2x UAC5 - the ultimate poptart

    733 with 3x LRM15, 1x LLas - missile boat

What I'm doing, they all play completely different.
