Having a benefit Mechathon for the Wounded Warrior Project has been in my head since I first started doing these things back in January. The WWP Mechathon was supposed to take place in August, but with me being a teacher and school getting started, combined with the June and July Mechathons running so close together, I decided to take August off and get everything properly planned for Sept. Being a veteran of the US Army, the WWP is something that like many of my charity events, is very close to my heart. I have lost friends to military combat, and have others who will be forever scarred from the horrors of war. Some are physically scared while others are mentally scared (PTSD). The Wounded Warriors Project helps those veterans who were physically or mentally wounded, often in area's where the VA system has let them down. This Mechathon will not require participants to sign up. All donations will be free will donations with 100% of the funds received going directly to WWP. A link to send donations to will be provided on the day of the event. The event will be streamed to Twitch at twitch.tv/rjbass3 and twitch.tv/robinsonrangers and may be picked up for hosting by other Twitch streamers such as Just-Gaming, No Guts No Galaxy, and more. All MW:O pilots, regardless of skill level, unit or faction are welcome and encouraged to join me and my fellow Rangers in the Mechathon. We will be starting at 9 AM Central Standard Time on September 19th. Participants need only to join the Robinson Rangers Teamspeak server located at RRB.EnjinVoice.com and head to the 24 Hour Mechathon Sync Room. It's another 24 Hour Mechathon for another very worthy cause. I hope to see lots of you with us.
