https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/community-warfare-hardcore-challenge-unit-evet.9642/ What do you think about the event?
Cool idea but the win will go to the numerically largest unit. Simple maths, all you have to do to get points is win and the company that can field the most 12 mans has the best chances to get as many wins as possible. Granted, super successful small units might get into the leaderboards but I doubt they can do much against huge units that will mass more wins.
Well, UMAD won't be on the leaderboards since we never do CW really Disappointed that the only solo thing is another hulu girl. Will likely skip it.
Dudesclub (currently FRR) will try to coordinate with SweC and 331. Minnesota Tribe to form 12 man groups. Not much hope to place in the leaderboards, but there should be additional rewards for players depensing on the unit's performance regaedless of Top5 or not. At least that's how I read the announcement... and free stuff is always welcome.
OK guys... try to describe this in a single word that isn't 'ridiculous'... this is 6.5 hrs after the start of the event. How are small units supposed to compete in this at all? 777 points already? SERIOUSLY?
It's no surprise that the biggest units are gonna win this one...and with no solo/small unit rewards worth mentioning, a lot of us are just ignoring this one. MS has an easy win since they have the biggest roster...nothing else to say there.
Yeah, similar sentiments as @Durandal. We knew it was going to be the big units but damn, 777 pts in under 7 hours..
Since the formula is essentially Activity x Membership, the structure rewards larger groups, period. I certainly wish they had some way to reward smaller but active units, but as things stand that's not this event. So...m3h. Sort of neat idea, just not really impressed. Won't affect my activity or mode choice.
They obviously didn't learn anything from BoT and all the statistics and formulas that I used and other people used to make it a fair fight for any unit size... Too bad, damn shame.
The numbers are pretty laughable. It looks like the player imbalance has completely reversed from where it was in Tukayyid.
