Gauss Rifles are mounted high and fairly tight together. The arm sticks out a ways so it's easy to accidentally hit a hill (or a friendly) so be aware of that and pay attention to your positioning.

ERML are both mounted at cockpit level. The Right Arm ERML is right above the Gauss, the Left Torso is high, but doesn't add giant geometry to the torso profile, allowing you to spread more damage.

    Ammo only version

First match, in the ammo only version. Ran out of ammo right before we won on caps.

    My version:

Similar, but allows for some attack power when your gauss side blows up.

Well just basicly a walking Gauss on two Chickenlegs! With 65 Shots you can make lots of Damage even on longer Matches without a Problem. Its just a straight forward Setup for the Ebon Jaguar but i guess it will do its Job just fine. Because of the Hardpoint Locations you can easily shoot over a Hill but keep in mind that the Gauss on the right Torso is above your Mech!

But if you prefer a Support Weapon you can easily strip some Ammo for one or two cERML if you want it for a little extra Punch or as a Reserve if your Gauss are torn apart / run out of Ammo.

You could also through the gauss Left arm and strip the Right arm. Adds a little more convergence issues, but allows you to still have a hard hitter if you lose that Right torso.

When these mechs become available for C-bills I plan on trying out something similar to this build, but with ERSL instead of the mediums. I'm not sure just yet whether or not I'll have the Gauss on the same side, but the layout will look something like this:

Out of interest are you using armslock there?

absolutely. No reason to send 2 gauss shots into different components because you nudged the crosshair a little

I tested this one for a short while and was pleasantly surprised. Did you consider this as well?

I had not, looks pretty nice. Less ranged damage, but lets you shoot gauss longer at least. Will have to try it.

    5/5,
This thing is an amazing dual gauss mech. Definitely competes with the other popular heavies for this role. This is the exact setup I used:

    And the results:

5/5 Recommended. Easy to use, cool running, and with Clan XL a bit tankier then IS counterparts.
