I give this little lass a 5/5 for her steakthitude. I have no see her yet. But I'm sure she does leave a clue now an again. How are suppused to know when she arrives. she is too sneaky to even notice.
Flea vs. Locust? I think it depends on how they handle MASC. If it is treated as an "Upgrade" to any mech like Endo-Steel, DHS, etc al, it won't be different. If they lock it to chassis like ECM, then that's where the Flea will have the Locust.
All hail the great and powerfull Flea! It may be small in stature but large in spirit. Death shall rain from its machine guns and justice served by its small laser! See as assaults tremble before its mighty power! The Flea does not retreat frome battle, battles retreat from it!
Yeah... you tell em Nemesi! Also I just wanna add the Fire Ant aka Flea can dominate some missions in MechCommander 2.
Oh yeah forgot the flea had a flamer equipped brother.... hummm... MASC + Flamer = ? Mobile Marshmallow Roaster?
Unlikely. There are still problems with mechs moving above a certain speed that screws up CryEngine, according to PGI, so it's unlikely that we will ever get any mech that goes faster than the Commando does.
My guess is that it would have a lower engine cap to keep the top speed at lower than 180. If the urbie can happen...
Happen AND being viable,... ! The Flea would be a miniscule, extremely rapid 4 energy hardpoint mech. I'm guessing there's some light pilots that would do VERY well in that,...
Could they not make it go 170 when using MASC and slowerr otherwise? Perhaps 130-140. That would make it like a 20 ton panther, right? Slower, but heavy weaponry.
They could, but I don't see the point. Slow engine cap only means more external DHS, meaning crit-space wasted preventing you to upgrade armor and/or structure, as well as lower dissipation. Comes a point where it's not really viable anymore.
Pretty much this. The Flea and Dasher (clan 20-tonner with MASC) both fall into that category...their main draw is their amazing speed (over 200 KPH), they never really had much else. You take that away, then there's no reason not to just take a Locust 1E and enjoy its great speed without needing MASC, and a better loadout with its 6 energy hardpoints.
