So this is my attempt to put together an energy brawler while minimizing the effects of the quirks the chassis recently received. To that end, the logical weapons to use are the medium and small pulse lasers, since the regular lasers already have a long burn time, and the stacking of quirks make them even worse. There just aren't enough hardpoints to boat SPLs without going crazy on the quirks (i.e. the TBR-A Left Torso), so MPLs seem to be the way to go on this chassis.

Anyways, the quirks are as follows:
TBR-C Right Arm: Arm Movement Rate (Yaw): 5%; Arm Movement Rate (Pitch): 5%
TBR-S Right Torso: JJ Capacity: 2 Torso Turn Rate (YAW): -5%; Missile Cooldown: -2.5%; Laser Duration: 3% Energy Cooldown: -3%
TBR-C Center Torso: Laser Duration: 3% Energy Cooldown: -3%
TBR-Prime Left Torso: Laser Duration: 3% Energy Cooldown: -3%
TBR-S Left Arm: Arm Movement Rate (Yaw): 5%; Arm Movement Rate (Pitch): 5%; Laser Duration: 3%; Energy Cooldown: -3%

So in total the negative quirks on the MPLs are: Laser Duration: +12%, and Energy Cooldown: -12%
This has the effect of increasing the MPL burn duration from 0.85 s to 0.952 s, which is long but not terribly so, and the Cooldown from 3.00 s to 3.36 s.

You could go to 5x MPL and get 15% negative quirks, though I think it is a bit too hot (5x MLas would be okay if you don't mind the 1.32 s burn time). You could also put on the TBR-A Left Torso for up to 7x SPL or 7x MLas, but that bumps you to 24% negative energy quirks along with some pretty mean movement quirks.

Have you tried it yet? I'm messing around with various builds, trying to tweak something for the invasion weekend and my Prime.

I've only had time for a few drops. The first was pretty good with 3 kills and ~600 damage (no basics unlocked). The next few were just average-ish, but it does have a really nice alpha for finishing off damaged components and grabbing kills. This is the first time I've tried out the cUAC-20 and I'm not too enthused by it, so I'm thinking about switching to an cLBX-20 instead to see how that works.

I'm also thinking about dropping the S torso to save some weight for more heatsinks as the 4MPLs are pretty hot. This would mean switching out the S-Left arm for the Prime arm which would lose the positive arm quirks, but the TBR-C Right-torso twist quirk should make up for that.

Trying to optimize these builds based on quirks is a mess.

This build seems interesting. I've wanted to try a UAC-20 build for quite a while. How's the heat like if you double tap the ballistic? Double Tap is 40 dmg, but over 10 projectiles

    5/5,
I prefer the LB20X than the UAC20. It's nice that these weapons are swappable.

I tried this build for too few games to review but the first impression is very good, it's just a bit too hot, so I added a DHS taking out the TC1.

I use seismic, uAC20 cooldown and MPL range, so weapons have similar cooldown and range.

Just wanted to say that I use a similar build - uAC20 - 5 ERmeds and a boatload of heatsinks.
Thanks for the inspiration by posting your build!

Auch a cute mech with the speed and JJ though, but for firepower this seem to have similar effect. Extra missiles added.

I run a build similar to this, but with one less MPL and 2x SRM 4 instead. works very well.

    5/5,
Fun brawling Timby build. I think PRIME CT gives a bonus quirk
