    I tried going the quirk specialization route of PPC and MLaser, but didn't like it. I instead decided to go completely nuts. What resulted was a surprisingly effective weapon of destruction.

    This build takes advantage of the following quirks:
    • Energy Range +15%
    • Energy Cooldown +15%
    • Energy Heat Generation -15%
    • Laser Duration -15%

    Modules: I suggest the LPL cooldown and MPL range.

    Wait till both teams are engaged then swoop in like a vulture and strip components. It's a bit spicy, so I recommend having an alpha weapon group and a MPL chain fire weapon group. Remember to only expose your "strong hand" when striking. Not having to deal with extended beam duration makes this a bit easier.

    I love the wub. I will give this a spin tonight and let you know.

    It certainly eats light mechs. I am finding it a little diffcult brawling, I linger to long and get put down but will keep practicing!

    I have only played this a few times, but it is MUCH better than the dual PPC build. Can fire more often and with almost double the alpha. Excellent!

    So much better than using the double PPCs, this build works well.

    I like the build, I run this after leveling the variant with the 2xPPC build to basic. It is much more fun and much deadlier.

    I don`t have a XL235 or XL245 (1JJ), so I run mine with a XL250, which makes it even slightly cooler for the cost of most of your left arm armor.

    I've had nothing but success with this build.



    I don't see why you wouldn't run the XL 250, since you only gain .5 tons by sacrificing about 8 kph, and the mpls aren't really necessary in my opinion since you're giving up one ton per damage and with quirks your beam durations and cooldowns just about match anyway. With those changes and less armor on the shield arm you can get 2 more heatsinks (or 1 and 4 jjs). I recommend this setup for players who can really take advantage of the arms to aim and are confident in their ability to survive using mobility and not that shield-arm.

    Fantastically fun and effective!

    I'm running the XL250 (For lack of any other engine) and MLs as already posted above.

    I really wanted a wub-wub-wub-wub Panther. I've got a PPC Panther with the 10K, and a LL Panther with the 8Z, so I wanted to achieve something different. This one is max speed and armor (shaved head for even tonnage), and dropped to 2x JJ to make room for the wub. 10 DHS keeps it shooting for a long time, and it's a lot of firepower.

    On ML vs MPL w/ Quirks:
    ML: 5 dmg / 3.4 heat / 2.55 rech / 310 (621) rng / 0.77 dur
    MPL: 6 dmg / 3.4 heat / 2.55 rech / 253 (506) rng / 0.51 dur

    They aren't really that close. 3xMPL is 5.88 dps, 3xML is 4.52 DPS. Plus it gets on target faster.

    This build wants me to get into MWO again. Took a breal for 6 months or so, but THIS... this is one specialzed, fun and hipster mech. great stuff. Will test & report!
