Any Star Citizens out there?

SC video from SXSW (South by Southwest), first half really isn't anything super new (dogfighting) but half thru the vid they start to show updated planetary stuff, new FPS etc. looks AMAZING and it's still just scratching at variety and detail that the final product will have!
Seriously seeing this type of stuff just gets me so excited about this game.

 

Cleared out my melted credits to buy the Aegis Vanguard long range fighter.

Well technically added $42...

Someone keep my wallet closed! I'm so tempted to forget my SC VAT principle,... that Vanguard looks sexy!

 

Did the same, had a 2Y Caterpillar that i melted down and added 5€ on it.

BTW atm with the Euro being so low and close to the Dollar its actually cheaper to buy ships in euros.

 

Of course if you're buying in GBP it got hit with the VAT, didn't get the discount of the Euro..... and then the GBP dropped drastically against the USD in the last two weeks.

 

I'm willing to purchase the ships for people with no issues if you guys need help. I passed on this ship I spent 500$ on clothes and travel gear for my trip to Finland in May.

Also, shipspecs.com/index.php is open for signup and testing. There is literally NO content on it right now; it isn't even released to the SC public but you guys are my peeps and so get early registration etc. while I continue to flesh stuff out. You can only access it by the index.php file. If you just go to the domain you will get an UNDER CONSTRUCTION message; as I said, not open to the public yet.

Sorry LOL. It is still in it's infancy, and there is no real plugin like Smurfy right now. I know that Smurfy and I were working on one at one point, with @Bolththrower assisting however I think he quickly lost interest in the project due to his real life being rather hectic AND the Star Citizen Project being in it's infancy. This was about 6 months ago I think. There are a few Shiplabs coming out but I really think Smurfy could be awesome at it if he really put his mind to it.

I'm gonna save my money for the Hull (in case that turns out to be my Serenity) or purcahasing @Bolththrower spare Starfarer and upgrading it to a Star-G class.

 

Not blaming anyone but myself about the ship. But, it does fit in my backing strategy. Buy those ships, that would allow me to taste the parts of the game I suppose will interest me (and I can afford), with LTI. That way I don't have to worry about ingame grinding for insurance money.

That and this baby (as the Hornet) fits perfectly with my guns blazing gaming behaviour,...

 

Not entirely sure of the point of the Hull C tbh when we have the Banu and Starfarer.

You never know. It might be heavily armored and shielded.

As for why the Hull-C? More chance for CIG to populate the universe with ships that people will pay for now. At this point ships have become like mechs in MWO; they will crank them out as long as people will buy them.

This wave yes. This is actually a discussion I'm going to get going on shipspecs once more people arrive over there. IMHO CIG has, very quietly and less obnoxiously than PGI, become more about selling ships than game play. I understand they are working on stuff in the background but right now the scales are currently tipped to sell ships and less about release content. This will become more evident once they say "An Wave 3 of ships is done... on to Wave 4" or whatever Wave we are at now versus the one that comes later.

The good thing about all this is that the universe will have a TON of variety in it when it finally comes to fruition.

Ships not yet released that are somewhere in the creation pipeline:

• Corvette (More info TBA, Was a new frigate but as the Idris was bumped up to Frigate a new corvette was put in instead)

• Battlecruiser (More info TBA, could be that this was bumped up to be the The Retribution-class Superdreadnought)
• RSI: Retribution-class Superdreadnought (Not sure if this will ever be more than a set piece or a GM tool for getting "unruly" big orgs in line if they threaten the UEE)
  
• Esperia Prowler (Tavarian boarding craft, redesigned to be a UEE assault and boarding craft)
  
• Azure Sky Aero: BB-12 (Manned Maneuvering Unit, so some sort of EVA backpack or small craft)
• Crusader Industries: Genesis-class Starliner ()
• MISC: Hull Series (A,B,C and D they have hinted on adding a E model as well.)

• Kruger Intergalactic: P-72 Archimedes (P-52 upgrade model in Constellation Phoenix)

That should still keep them busy at least a year if not longer. Hide those wallets, cos they're about to bleed ya AGAIN! Muahahahaha!

Then ofc there's a lot of ships we have seen but still aren't released plus all their variants and variants of ships already released that might have variants.

 

For a start I don't include most of those because they weren't be purchasable pre game acccording to CR's comments....

The P-72 is just a snub fighter that comes as part of the Pheonix from memory?

That leaves from memory just:

• Corvette (Ben has said it will go on sale but as it only has a outlying design atm it might hit us with any luck some time 2016)

• Crusader Industries: Genesis-class Starliner (Again they've said they'll probably sell this as there are a quite a few ppl out there who just want to ferry NPC's around aka be bus drivers)

That's still 7 ships not yet sold that will sooner or later come on sale (Not counting that the Hull series as its contain 4-5 ships in different sizes)
Now adding that with all the ships already shown that have not been pushed out into the hanger that are in different states of ready in the pipeline, i still claim that we will not run out of ships going on sale anytime soon.
