LRM Locust is hilarious. Pretty useless, but hilarious. Anyway, yesterday's encounter: (guessing ammo and jet count, but that's the correct engine)
Someone posted on Reddit in that build do over 600 damage. I didn't think flamers really even DID damage, but, he rocked it.
@Aylek --- exactly what my first thought was when I saw the screenshot . . . "Hey, that's a good Misery build; that's MY Misery build!"
Three tags on the Atlas, just dumb struck and to top it all off he is under range to use the LRMs, just as well they were running a backup small laser!
This build does not belong in this thread, I have the same commando and it works wonderfully. Anyway, just encountered this one. LRM Cataphracts are always a delight.
WOW! I hope for his sake that the game dropped his build when he saved and launched. Even that little Locust outguns him!!! A Light > Assault !!!
Huhu, I know. Like Dogsoldier said, what's hilarious on this screenshot is that the Locust carries more firepower than the Banshee.
Key features include LRM tubes of three different sizes, with +A to boot. Also, for some reason I cannot fit enough LRM ammo when simulating his build. Maybe the engine is even smaller... Oh, the ERPPC is real, but I did not see any hits from it.
I always have to wonder when seeing these types builds: does ELO even exist? Or are people intentionally taking horrible builds because they WANT to let their team down horribly?
See the irony is that I'm seeing lots of this type of shit today while I'm basicing C1 Catapult, which ended with this statline: <20:19:01> "Soy": CATAPULT CPLT-C1 24g 5w 19l 0.26 I'm also doing C4 right now and it's exact same steamrolls with complete autists on my team... So to answer your question, yes, clearly it exists, obviously my heavy Elo is still really high, despite tanking it as much as my patience will allow me during Summoner and Timber grind... why even bother when I'm getting people like that in every game on my team... zzzzzz
ELO is so random in this game ! Sometimes I get paired vs the best of the best in solo drops, and sometimes with new players, even on the same weight class.
1) ELO is a bit random, then again, better to get a game every few minutes than wait 10 minutes to get a game at the right ELO 2) Skill level is different at different times of the day, even for the same ELO bracket. You also factor in weekend players and what not.
Damn, please use the proper words. 1/ it's "Elo", not "ELO" 2/ Elo can't bee random, your rank strictly depends on your victories and defeats and on the rank spread between players 3/ what is sometime too permissive (not random!) is the matchmaker. 4/ it's also badly conceived on some points, for example when allowing the creation of a team composed of strong players and rookies, and matching it against a team average players, because it matches teams based on the average rank, instead of matching players first.
