The IS counterpart to the Timberwolf. Same basic build although: -Slower -Less Range -More durable with STD engine
XL version with more fast. No Endo on this one, though. The quirked arm armor should help protect that arm with the 2 heatsinks.
Hmm, with this mech being the only one that gets 2 high mounts, I'm really debating turning this into quickdraw 2ppc+4ml w/ 4JJ build replacement since they took away the ppc qkd quirks last round. But now you got me thinking about the tbr replacement with the XL... No matter what, I would seriously consider moving the CT LPL to the RT for the high mount.
I'm running a slightly different version of @SirEpicPwner and @Solahma : Basically I use the arm as a proper shield particularly as it contains two precious DHS. Three matches so far, possibly not the best results but mech seems solid for a no xp chassis: Highest damage and a kill on a defeat Nice mobile performance with 4 kills Fought from inside the crater and still got 666 damage and 3 kills in a loss despite being a pure energy boat (only the 5SS on their team which used its team mates as a shield did better).
5/5, No ratings for this build, and no rating for any 5H build either? This has to change^^ I`m using this variant of the build, performs great: Edit: Smurfy link didn`t work (yes, I added an "s")
The STD version is my version, so of course it's viable It has one less heatsink than the proposed XL340 version. I see no reason why the STD300 version would not work. However, I have yet to even run the grasshoppers yet... Hopefully I'll change that tomorrow.
I switched my 5N / 8 MPLas build to a STD300 when it got speed tweak as well and it's very viable for sure. Reason for this? Although the Grasshopper might be one of the best IS chassis around for mounting XL engines, the short range on the MPLas mean you'll take a lot of damage until reaching their most efficient firing range. And allthough the damage incoming can be twisted away very nicely, the amount of incoming damage might still be too much for a 70t mech's STs.
