Heh I actually tried to win the Masakari pack tonight, would've given it to you Sadly, someone else got it. Someone we know got the Urbie pack though hehe...
As much as I am looking forward to them they do seem to be somewhat unbalanced... CW is going to be a nightmare with some of these toys around to mix up decks.
Well the good side is that at least they are trying to fix things. Both the quirk thing and recent voip has been an improvement. I do agree that they definitely have to put more work on CW to make it functional, and more game/match types. Also, maps.
I hesitate a lot i was real disappointed by the wave 2 specially with gargoyles ... and i don t want to make the same mistake twice. Does this mechs real worth it, i m a fanboy so i d like to say yes but i hesitate, i dont want to waste my money ... The medium seems real powerfull the heavy is sexy as hell i don t know what to say about the light and the assault seems ... not real good. Stop me if i m wrong of course
The light looks good - first true clan light really. Fast at 129.6km, 6 jump jets, nice loadouts e.g. ECM AND 6 energy mounts.. on top of clan xl engines and double heat sinks. All in a 30 ton chassis. For me that's the gem of the pack but then I love lights.
I was doubtful, but after looking at the potential loadouts, I agree. That gives it a 142.5 KPH speed after tweak, and if it can handle 6 SPL builds with ECM, that will mean it can put out a bigger alpha than the 8 SPL Firestarter (36 damage vs 32) at nearly the same top speed. Plus it will have jump jets, so it will have quite a bit of agility. Of course, a lot will depend on how good its quirks are, but it has a lot of potential as a light mech, far more than the Kit Fox, Adder, and Mist Lynx have. As for the Executioner...I just can't say for sure. The Banshee is the mech I would be most likely to compare it to, and that does well enough. With the hard points, this one could compete too. Time will tell. The biggest thing it has that Gargoyle doesn't is the side torso points, so that's always a plus.
I struggle to find anything good to say about the Executioner.... The Bad HUGE torso you can shoot from the side.... Three ballistic points split between arm/opposite torses (plus lots of fixed items in RT so can't fit much).... I mean seriously the dual ballistic right torso can just squeeze in two LB 2 X's, a gauss or an LB10X..... Ferro to use up 7 slots with minimal gain.... but no endo... Oversized engine... with four fixed jump jets... To take your 2 missile hardpoints costs you the arm mounted ballistic. The Good Masc (presuming its not a nightmare to use) Can tank with left side and keep your 7 energy and 2 ballistic protected on the right. That gorgeous arm that at least looks reasonably high with 7 energy slots. Overall a lot more firepower than a gargoyle but shit compared to a Direwolf or Warhawk. So what do you have to play with: 26.5 tons of weaponry - any shortfall for stock armour. Two SRM 6+2t ammo, 2 LPL, 8 ER SL and 4 HS? Two SRM 6+2t ammo, 2 LPL, 8 SPL?
Its a short term acceleration boost that was in table top. Not implemented yet in game so we don't know how it will perform. In TT basically you set it off and your top speed will jump but theres an increasing % chance each round it fuses and you're totally screwed. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Myomer_Accelerator_Signal_Circuitry "Myomer Accelerator Signal Circuitry is a piece of equipment that allows a BattleMech to move twice its walking speed. However, actuators were not built for this kind of stress, and prolonged usage of MASC systems can lock up the actuators in a 'Mech, and cause it to be immobilized." Remember speed is different in this game though.

I could swear you edited yours To talk about the actual sale: I'm looking forward to the Cauldron Bourn. The pictures released of it got an extra $30 from me. I was only originally going to get the Shadow Cat. Then I saw that the light was only $5 more than A La Carting the Cat by itself and figured worst case scenario I get 4 mech bays for $5.... not great but not terrible. So I'm hoping that the Medium and Heavy are great. I may eventually get over my dislike of clan lights to try out the Hankyu but it's likely to sit in the corner of my mechbay for some time before I give it a swing. I have no desire whatsoever to pick up the Gladiator. The thing just looks ugly.
3 With the preorder clan mechs, you can't sell off the Prime variant. That said, the lights this time still look potentially good, so that may not be a bad thing.
You can ask support to remove them though and people recently have been keeping the bay. Bit of a gamble though.
And turning the mist lynx totally obsolete... can't wait to put my hands on the Cheetah but I wonder what they'll do with the Lynx (massive quirk?).
I believe the Myst Lynx is getting quirked on the 17th March, according to Russ's tiwtter posts. Edit: Nope, I was wrong.. shame that little dude needs some love.
4 LPL. 10 SPL w/ LB 10. Gauss Vomit. Laser Vomit. So meta af. Dual asym gauss tart for luls. A heavier better armored Timberwolf with really bad JJs. If you don't consider decks, it'll be an attractive option. I think it's top speed is like 71 with speed tweak so it rolls faster than a CTF did with xl300 back when. Honestly, if they give that JJ class some swag, the executioner will be a beast. I think for the shadow cat, the best build will be 3 LL ECM.
4 clan LPL? Check the weight available.... then look where the hardpoints are... low torso and under arms. Gauss Vomit ... have you checked the mech hardpoints and crit space? That won't work.
26.5 free tons of space. 4 LPL and 20 DHS. 37% HE. You can place them asymmetric. "That gorgeous arm that at least looks reasonably high with 7 energy slots." The hard points exist for gauss vomit, it just isn't the most optimal. No I didn't bother looking at crit space. It's whatever.
