I don't mind the Adder as well, but I am after the camo color... so I expect long evenings and even some daytime play. This one is much easier than the recent challenges, though. Going solo one can even leave a game after getting killed if you already got that 1k1a... hop onto the next Hero mech and repeat. Shouldn't be a reportable way of doing this, or am I mistaken?
You can perfectly leave a game if you're dead,... Leave it once you get the kill and the assist whilst still alive and we may have a problem
Normal play weekend for me. I have to record the 3 PUG Life rounds for the Enforcer I'm working on and then cut that all together. Ain't got no time for clan stuff up in 'ere.
Especially if you play the adder prime - tell peeps you already won it and watch them praise your leet skillz in doing it so quickly.
21/32 points after one evening. Not so bad^^. If i hadn`t played my Spider 5K in some games for leveling elite skills, there would be even more points. But i had a 5 Kill win in the 5K, so i got this going for me, which is nice
I have noticed the most dickheaded play thus far this weekend...perfect example, I took my 4N into Frozen City...we were pushing at them, located a lance of heavies...and I hear a VoIP call: "Leave the Stalker, clean up whatever he damages!" And SIX teammates all pull back, leaving me to die. I legged the guy who made the voip call as "thanks" for fucking me over. People are really being douchebags this weekend, moreso than last weekend, since they don't have to win. Also met a guy in a DWF who flat out said "I'm just gonna play for myself" and sat back sniping. I laughed when he got light swarmed, and no one would come help him, since he was being an ass.
It`s difficult, if you play a light mech like the spider, to not be one of "those" kill stealers. So I`m primary hunting other lights, single assaults and do some cleanup (specialy if the match is allready lost). But still you often get accused, when you stay with others and help with combined fire to kill big ones...
See, I don't mind people going for kills...hell, I'm doing it nonstop, since I also want to win the match by playing well, so I only hold back once it's an assured victory. But douchebaggery...grr...
Wow so far this weekend represents the absolute bottom in tactics and player skill.... Hey... just artied to death by my own side while brawling.... They also threw away a 4-1 lead...
14h stream of mixed games to promote our gaming community, played...oooh, about 3 hours late afternoon plus 2 hours after midnight of MwO. There were some real weird kamikazes and a lot of hiding around so they could be alive when armor got broken on the other side. We've been doing good in the group queue by being aggressive, really pays off cause if we roll 6 ppl forwards then the other half of the team follows. But yeah, it's a little weird this weekend. Now, sleep. Pillow. Head. Down.
I suspect cERPPC quirks incoming on Adder. Otherwise, seriously. Just, what the fuck. It's only way I can be asked to 'grind' this event at all (I only have 2 matches played since it started)... hedging for future meta.
Haaaaaaate playing Conquest during a challenge like this. Folks chase the kill so hard you wind up losing MASSIVELY. That aside, I much prefer this week/weekend's challenge over last week's because for something that requires so many points needing the win sucks. Paradoxically, as an Adder guy I don't need this one...or even the pattern. I have a pattern, and one that gives me C-Bills, why would I need a chasis that doesn't give me C-Bills for using? ...oh, right, I can sell it. )_)...(_(...*drops into some matches*
The rule of the last challenge, that you have to win to make a point, made the last challenge much more difficult to get a point. But it also set a Victory to the No1. Priority of the match - regardless of kills and assists. This weekend, it`s a real chaos. At the beginning of the event i stopped going for kills after my first and only shot away armor and legs. But we lost so many matches, because of enemys NOT killed going rampage (for their kill), so i decided to play like there wasn`t any event and only spent kills if the score was 9:5 or better. So I end many matches with 3 or more kills - but we win and earn CBills and XP, which isn`t bad either. One match on frozen city by night was real fun, there was no hiding and no tactic, both sides crashed in one other - not even the first minute of match past - and there was a giant brawl. One of the few i got no kill and died early^^. But in review the best match of last evening
Man that's awesome. I had a match like that on bog tonight. Our teams just collided in the first minute or two. Our team forms up on our assault lance and we were strolling along towards B3 then WHAM! our griffin gets head shot by a dual guass Jager and 12 Doritos pop up on my HUD as a UAV goes down. It was chaos but my Trusty hunchie made it through with only his SLas left and 3 kills.
Heh I've had several matches in my Firestarter now with 5+ kills...people start playing for assists, but I keep playing to ruin the day of any mech I meet on the field, so I've been cleaning up. There was one match (a loss) where I got 5 kills, was one shot away from a 6th, but if I had disengaged instead of going after kill 6, I probably could've gotten all three remaining mechs and won it. Ah well...it was still a damn good round...
I will say we were running in the group queue far lighter than most groups - aka 3 meds and "another" usually a heavy. Not optimal but three of us were leveling Enforcers. A lot of the companies we faced had 4 DWF's.
