I went with the STD 325 which is the lowest engine with 3 internal DHS. You can do any combination of ER-LL/LL/Gauss/AC20 really to fit your playstyle. I went with the ER-LL/Gauss here mainly to have some range and keep the heat down in order to have something to while closing in.... and to build something a bit different from the AC20/SRM4 builds. It can still brawl nicely with 4x SRM4, 2x ML and Gauss (7.7 sustained DPS), and apply some ER-LL if there is an offer you can't resist. Modules: Radarderp, Seismic, SRM4 cooldown, gauss cooldown, strike + coolshot Edit: baleeted 2nd variant //Duke Nedo
As this seems to be mostly about mid range, did you think about playing BAP and quad Streaks already? Might go for PPCs then as well. Just thinking...
Not that fond of streaks after the srm hit detection was improved... but yeah, doing the old meta gauss+ppc with streaks or srms should work just fine. If I post it, it will be called "The Queen".
Played around with it a bit and the Gauss+PPC+SRM4/streak2 build fits without problems, but I don't think it will perform very well. Imo the atlas is too slow to play that kind of game and other chassi will do it better. One will be one Gauss behind the DW so you'd need to be close to be comparably efficient with the SRMs, but then the min range of the PPC could come into play... so the sweet range is rather narrow there. I am perhaps a bit more interested in trying out Gauss+2x LPL+4x SRM4 in that case for pure brawling, that one also fits well and could be interesting...
I didn't upgrade to endo yet, not sure if I would need the weight savings vs the crit space. And I came up with a very similiar build, just swapping out the ERLL and instead running 4 mediums, 4 SRM 4, and a guass. It was pretty effective, the guass gives you something to plink away with until you get close and helps the heat out during brawls. Fun build, I might have to go endo and give yours a try, I'm sure its solid.
Just a heads up but we put one build in a thread so that people can find everything useful out there. If you bury a second build in that rocks people might bypass it by looking at the subject alone.
Though sometimes the changes are small enough not to werrent a new build (changes in things like DHS/ammo/armor numbers, AMS, engine size for example). This case, though, it is different enough to be on its own.
