Should be super OP lrm spam heaven.

teach me why that (22 heat) is better than 4xlrm15 (27.44 heat). 6xlrm10 is obv too much ghost heat (42.97 heat) to achieve 60 lrms, but by having so many different cooldown rates, sure, you get never ending stream, but I don't see that as a positive. By alternating 2xlrm15, 2xlrm15, it's a pretty steady stream for not much more heat. AMS eats enough into 4lrm15, I'm not sure I'd want an even longer stream.

Seems more betters to me with 4lrm15, cAP, +1ton ammo:

This build can alpha as needed to perform as lrm 60 to beat ams. But when ams isn't a factor it has higher DPS and higher sustained DPS. The sustained stream is better because more screenshake frustrates enemy and deals damage faster. Also your build doesn't save tonnage, you just dropped 2 DHS for the CAP and ammo which could be done on OP. I would say min DHS for a build like this is 14. Timberwolf struggles to keep 4 lrm15s cool with 15 DHS so with 12 it would have terrible dps and be better off only carrying 3 15s with backup weapons and more heatsinks.

Is screenshake that relevant now they've slashed clan impulse so much this patch? I had zero trouble handing Clan LRM's last night after the patch despite all the Mad Dog missile users. In fact my main problem with them was remembering how much damage they would do as the shake was so reduced. o_O

Okay, added a better comparison to make this a true comparison of 4xlrm15 vs 2x15/10/5. 4x15 has slightly higher sustained DPS and more cooling % which probably evens out the ghost heat.

Your point about a neverending stream against non-ams cover is probably correct, but as Rem point out, impulse was cut in half this patch so it's not quite as troll-y anymore. Not sure if the explosions still make it a pain in the ass though.

Even with the improvements to your 4 15 build. Your max dps is 14.67 vs 15.98. The sustained on 4 15s like you said is massively tainted by ghost heat vs my slightly lower ghost heat (but more spread so it will take effect less). Basically as a rule if you want lrm 15 and you can fit an lrm 10 and a 5 it is better than a 15. Which is why i run 4 15s on my madcat and will run 2 15, 2 10, 2 5 on my mad dog (whenever i am not running 6 6s+A)
