"Mangonel" (Name comes from a latin word meaning "engine of war".) (uses lower arm actuator, and hand is optional) Should be extremely strong build but I cannot personally test until it is out for cbills. Please reply if you have one and tested.
While I never used to run srm6 without artemis, I think in this case, you really have to sacrifice the tighter grouping for more dhs.
Yeah this is the build I started with. Not utterly convinced as the heat is horrible with no upgrades. I ended up using range modules rather than cool down for the moment.
hmm, I didn't really have any problems with the heat firing 3,3 or single chain to really piss them off. Just had to stay off the lasers once I was within 200m. I did use range for both modules instead of cooldown but will probably switch srm to cooldown because... I'm not really happy with the massive spread without artemis and the way they come out of the launchers. I'm pretty sure I can hit three mechs side by side at 200m which brings the effective range quite a bit down, but on those brawler maps, it still hurts and limbs go flying.
Yeah I just keep meeting teams with quad direwolves and having to drop everything I can while desperately hanging in there.
RHOD! That is why coolant flush is around.... to compensate for my lack of wanting to fit heatsinks over better firepower. (in this case much more accurate missiles)
After all the variations of srms/erml/ammo/dhs, I think I finally settled on this: srm4's didn't have enough punch, srm6's have to have artemis, 6srm6a was just too many tons for everything you need, so.... 5srm6a, 3erml. and I'm done with tinkering.
