The prototype build: It's like a miny Timber wolf prime. Works great as a second line, direct fire support mech. First match in it. [EDIT] This build is one where Blagg made some fine tuning, which I think in my opinion push this build to it's max element.
I didn't find it to be too hot. Was pretty easy to manage in all honestly with the 3 weapons groups I used. 1. 2x cERLL 2. 2x cEML 3. 2x cLRM15
This is very close to the build I'm currently using on my Prime, and it works great! The stock 20s and Pulses were a combination of too much heat, not enough range, sacrificed armor, and too many wasted missiles. My version looks like: Runs hotter, but as the weapons are not all meant to be fired together it's managable as a long-range mech with the cMPLs for in close defense. I'm also finding that if you don't get spam-happy on your missiles, 5 tons is enough even with what is effectively LRM-30. Same weapon groups as OP.
Looks promising, but should have CAP. And Ammo relocated to keep the Ammo Explosion Chance in the Torso low.
Add a CAP and a TAG (the Right arm B omnipod has three energy hardpoints I believe) and it's a five star build from me.
I think Blagg has rounded off this build to it's max. [will edit into the first post] You could go for getting a Tag in there, but I'm not really happy about stripping any more off Blagg's build to free up that extra ton.
I don't own this mech yet, but I like the concept on paper, and the build that was posted here. That being said, i modified it a bit using the different pods available. Comes with a tag, and runs a bit cooler. Lets you control the LRM 40 salvo a bit better although LRM 10x4 gives off more heat than LRM 20x2. Lose the 2 ERLlas for a total of 4x ERMlas. In concept should be able to chainfire LRM 10's if an enemy gets close to get some screenshake, while being able to blast much more Laser bursts out without going super hot. But once again I do not own this mech. Edit1: I did the same armor strip as shown above to add Clan Active Probe.
