Well, not that depends in us. Its incredibly underpowered for a so huge target. With the mass of the Victor it just doesnt worth to fit anything under an AC10 or dual AC5s. Also not having a backup weapon in the other arm, trust me, is a horrible choice.

I reworked it around the main Dakka ideal taking a lot of AC2 ammo out, a couple DHS (remember that ur main weapons arent energy based, so u can pass with less), and using that to upgrade one of the AC2s to AC5 and to add a MLas as backup (yeah, not a lot, but i prefer to fire with something more than the red ray :p)

Sorry, was logged of while writing a reply :(
I think, there is a great harmony betwenn AC2 and TAG. AC2 Shells are close to be double as fast as AC5 shells are.
AC2 and TAG are made for each other :D
I didn't play for several month (or maybe a year?) and tested out the 2LL 2AC5 build. I sucked. With this built, i suck, too (but ~same dmg, ~same kills), but their is a high amount of assistance :D

if i don't hit a rock and if i don't find the enemy team on my own i can make an enemy run under AC2 shakes and LRM rain.

    (pls excuse my english)

edit: Inspiration was the amount of ecm and unused lrm boats nowadays

But the firepower of the build is 14 :wtf:. U may scare them, but not kill them. Even a Raven can outgun u while u get outmaneuvered too o_O

I really suggest u to give a try to the one i placed. It has both things u describe, but also a minimum punch to kill when necesarry.

    Test these weapon groups:
    1)MLas+SSRM2
    2)AC5
3)AC2s (better in chain fire, cuase since u left the game, they added a penalty for macro-users, now 2 have ghost heat)

PS: No worries, english is not my mother-language too, so sorry also for mine :)

a quote of a FireStarter doing the misstake to attack me a few minutes ago:
barely did damage on him, but he died really fast.
Always finding enemy team on my own with this mech. Should work on that

I believe, AC5 is too slow to combine with TAG. Just theoretical, but:

weapon distance [m] time ['s'] target velocity[m/s] target movement[m]

AC2 100 0.05 13.9 0.7

AC2 500 0.25 13.9 3.48

AC5 100 0.09 13.9 1.21

AC5 500 0.43 13.9 6.04

this is for a slow target with ~50km/h. Feel free to multiply with 3 for a raven. This is the reason i don't want to combine AC5 with tag.
But in case of damage u're right. I really should do more.
I can imagine, to test this one next:

fixed strange mathematics :D

TAG really does no dmg, just increase the chances that ur missiles, guided ones like StreakSRMs or LRMs, lock and hit faster. It also increases the time anyone has to get detailed info of the target u are pointing it to, even if its not ur current locked target, that means less time to get the box in the top right of the screen. But deals 0 dmg, its just a "debuff" for the enemy that its hitted by it, or a "buff" for ur team if they lock that target.

About ACs, u are right, AC5 its quite slow, but the dmg at 350-400 meters its consistent and the impulse it has its high, so u can aim at, lets say, the right torso, and at that distance the bullet will only fall 0.5-1 meters. Also dont forget the "shaking" factor. AC2s are mostly a minor annoyance to fire back at you, but an AC5 shake the enemy cockpit enough to make the process to aim back at u a hellish experience.

And finally about ur spec, i think it has too many weapon systems, so must be really difficult to use effectively, mainly cause u will tend, like we all do, to use 1-3 as main and often forget the others.

Machine Guns: a single MG doesnt really worth it, but they are awesome in groups, 2 or more MGs can kill an enemy due to criticals if they lack armour, but one....just add one more thing to take care of in knife-range, and in that range u often have many things to take care of. Anyways, if i had to take out one weapon, would be the MGs, cause due to the range they have, u will end using them like 1 out of 5 battles only, and that weight could be placed in things u use in 4 out of 5 battles. Balance this, cause its mainly a choice that ur playstyle will dictate.

The SRM6 spread a LOT. Without ArtemisIV i feel im wasting missiles if i fire them at 200 meters, cause like 1/3 will spread out the target, even if perfectly centered, if its a medium-little one, lets say a Hunchback, and thats 2 out of the 6 it fires, so i suggest SRM4s without Artemis or SRM6s with Artemis, cause the missiles will fire in a controlled cone that u can aim.

And the PPC its a good backup, but remember it has a range restriction, u cant use it in knife-range, so if u choose PPC instead of ERPPC, that lacks that restriction, u need a strategy to play, cause u are relying in changing 10 points dmg from the PPC to 2 points dmg from the 2 MGs, so ppl will tend to try to hug u to avoid it.

Took me a lot, but i think i detailed every point with my own experience in combat with this AWESOME mech. The -9S and the -9B are my favorite assaults; fast, with JumpJets and a nice punch

Hope all this can be helpfull for you, i dropped aprox 200+ battles of Victor experience in this post :)

PS: Also LOL on the Firestarter comment to you :D :D

    Thx for your replies :D

You're right. I didn't recognize the AC2 nerf. There is no Problem with ghost heat, but dps had some downgrade. Last time I played AC2 was at 4dps.

[member=4725]Auriga[/member]: I think, TAG causes a lot of dmg. I just get rewards for spotting and maybe a win. And there are achievements for doing this in an Assault (Big Daddy).
Sadly I can't reliably use AC5 and TAG at once on a moving target 350-400m away. Something will miss. My problem is not the "parabolic" flight of shells, it's the time between shot and impact. With TAG I think I should Point at the enemy, but I can't when using AC5. Maybe I'm wrong and should test it.

Tested the second build, too and PPC was nerfed, too oO Now its shells are even slower than AC5 :D
    But I only had 3 weapongroups: 1: TAG+AC2, 2: PPC, 3: SRMs+MGs

Where can I see the number of matches I did in a mech? Month ago I had lots of fun with "mastering" the Victors. Now (8months later) I have the feeling they changed everything. New GUI, AC2 lost more than 25% dps, PPC with slow shells, strange Gauss, ECM everywhere, clan mechs, (edit) nerfed JJ, huge lags and so on. I just thought one could use TAG on a 9B to counter those ecm (where is the ecm nerf? it's far too light for its benefits and it's not working as in tabletop or the books i think) and I was wrong. I'm glad I didn't miss the times, when triple AC2 rocked :D

[member=2826]Blagg Zear[/member]: I loved Megaman (just ssrm, no lasers and more ammo and JJ) last year. I still had this loadout in my hangar, when I logged in a few days ago and have great memories! Now its completly wrecked by "balancing"

I see your point, but i still have the feeling that an assault mech needs some big weapon, mostly cause they are the ones able to carry several of them to the field and deploy them effectively. Yeah, u can carry them in lighter mechs, but in an assault u can make them work better with more heat efficiency, more health points to keep them firing for longer times, and so on.

TAG dmg is relative. It indeed can damage the other team, but not dealing dmg but debuffing. You get the rewards for debuffing. But they doesnt count as assists, that is the archiv Big Daddy. To get the assist u need to dmg somehow the enemy mech, and TAG doesnt deal dmg, just debuff it. This last goes for NARC also. U have to keep it in the target and u get a little symbol with a crosshair in the enemy mech, while that symbol is up in it, this is, while u have ur TAG pointing to it, if any other mech attacks it with a guided missile system, u get a bonus at the end of the match for TAG.

To see number of battles, login in the offcial web, https://mwomercs.com/ , then click in profile. Search in the secondary bar for Stats, or simpy press Crtl+F (search-in-this-page tool in nearly all windows compatible program) and then search for Stats. Click it and then just go to "mechs stats" :)

    Ah, thx for explaining :D
So game is even more broken, than I thought
I switched to something similar to the champion now. This just works. (edit: but its not that fun :( )

Last year, Victor was the only assault able to load triple AC2. There was no assault, that could carry 4+AC2, 2 AC20, 2GAUSS, 3+(U)AC5, 2AC (LBX)10. All solid builds with impressive dmg output. I like to compare Heavies with Tankdestroyers in WOT.
My Jägermech 6DD is still my best mech in hangar^_^. Maybe this is because of my low skill level

I run often these 2 specs, cause i enjoy them a lot, maybe give a try ;)

Work ur playstyle around the DoubleHeatSinks, JumpJets, and ammo proportions. The LLas rocks in this mech. U may consider to upgrade it to ERLLas, but be adviced that then u cant use it as often in knife-range, and these 2 builds are basically designed for close-quarters fights.

Hope u really enjoy them :)
