Nothing fancy just a helpfull fun build to go along with your blob. Packs a nice punch (25.8 alpha, 2.52 dps) with lots of support both pasive (ECM) and active (AMS) so get out, shield your friends and fire from behind their "skirts" for max dps and survivability. You can tweak the thing of course, some interesting variants I discarded are: Removing actuators in the right arm to get most of the AMS ammo in it, while that makes ammo storage less dangerous (ammo explosion removes the one thing it's feedin without endangering survival) but that reduces the ability to move arms. Geting the cLPL in a the left arm gets a more ballanced build in which the right arm isn't so much better than the left meaning a better "hurt mode". True but I prefer to shot each arm with a button of the mouse, with the build as I posted it I shoot the right arm with my right button and my left arm with.... the left. Might not be important to you but it certainly helps me aim better AND avoid obstacles making me a more efficient mechwarrior. cERPPC, yeah well that got nerfed but you can surely get rif of cLPL and get a PPC in there, might become another build though, and I hate PPC now so long live the cLPL.
Excellent build. I would just recommand to allocate the ammo differently. Having all of them in the side torso exposes yourself to a big ammo explosion....Maybe 1t in the left arm, 1t in the left torso, and the rest into the right torso would be better.
Thanks for the apreciation. In regards to your comment... yeah ammo is always a delicate issue. But I decided to put it in the RT because of this: All clan mechs locations have CASE on them for free: so it doesn't matter how big the ammo explosion is, it will rip your body part and nothing else. Clan mechs don't get killed by a side torso loss with XL. Those two distinct facts made me concentrate the ammo explosion dangers in that one torso, but yes there are other options to store ammo and since in the end there isn't a best answer until you get hit (then you need the ammo out of the way) if you want to place it somewhere else, that's your choice. In my config an ammo explosion means: Lose the side torso: can't risk more damage to the engine but I live and can run (as oposed to losing a leg). Lose the bigest weapon, but at least I still got weapons (2xcERML) Lose the AMS, yup but the ammo just blew up so well... Lose the ECM (shit!! but still better than losing a leg or being dead) So I think the RT is the least bad place to put the ammo unless you do without the RA actuators, then put the ammo in there.
Shoulda called this puppy Aegis. I might have shifted one of the heat sinks from your LT to the RT and moved your ammo the LT just for contingency... you lose too many assets to an ammo explosion with this config. This way you get the benifit of some crit padding, and if you do suffer an ammo explosion you can still be an effective ECM platform with a little punch.
