I used my RVN-3L. Had good games, had bad games. Was doing rather well in my SDR-5D, until I saw that it said 5V.
 No Blackjack love, meh. Having fun legging the poor bastards that are trying to get those points, though.
Got a few sucky games where whole team gets raped before clock hits 12:00. At least little time is wasted. And worse, got the title bridesmaid, would have gotten it more than once if the system allows.
Gotta say, I have no idea what you're trying to highlight in that picture Maybe because the task manager is blocking half the scores
RL.... not even logged in this weekend... Way its been I'll just get my free mechbay and ignore the competition I think as at most I can put a couple of hours in. Not worth stressing about it if I can't have a proper shot at it.
Heh, honestly, I forgot about the leaderboard thing. I never even come close (best I've ever done is 80th), and since I've had work all weekend thus far, I haven't really had time to improve my scores anyway. Looks like Epikt is in line for top 5 on IS lights, and I noticed Eglar's name on Clan Mediums, but I don't really recognize any of the others. Either I play the wrong time of day, or I'm just not that good
I'm 14th/2347 in clan heavies right now, but by the end of the tournament I feel like you'd need 2500 just to be on that board. For that, I'd probably have to replace my bottom 6 of my top 10. This is only my second tournament ever. Its nice to see where I stand since I am a pug player and don't really get a sense of my relative skillset. I know its fairly irrelevant to winning on any level, but its a yardstick of sorts. That being said, the gameplay experience is completely horrible and I'm not sure I'd participate in another one.
This time, it's hell. I really hate it. I was on Nürburgring on the weekend, and am doing the grind Monday morning. I don't know how i'm always stuck in the uncoordinated teams. Feels like playing with a PUG against a 12-man. Maybe Matchmaker broken? Like being in the middle of a bukkake party.
I almost fucked it up tbh. Doubled up 5 mechs and missed that one wasn't listed so was at 86 pts. Luckily I checked later so just ran 1 more with 2 kills and 9 assists.
The point system made it a lot easier and I like that it doesn't only reward getting kills, a little less kamikaze gameplay this weekend.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I feel like many are synch-dropping w/coms to go PUG-hunting. Several other player voiced the same suspicion. Could it be true?
Sure, it can. But also consider that many of the people normally playing clan wars or in the group que may have just jumped online during the weekend while pressed for time. It certainly felt like the solo queue were a bit more challenging this weekend.
So im not the only one furiously charging at people with 4950 srms and autocannons?
Haha, in the previous challenges, no. In this one where assists count, probably.
It should not be seen as a challenge imho, more as a "whoever plays a few games gets a free mechbay". That's fine with me.
Another weird way to finish off the challenge. I dropped in my trusty old 3xAC2 SHD-2H, into Caustic. After taking potshots at the enemy team for a few minutes over the top of the caldera, I got backstabbed by an Arrow who was able to tear off what was left of my armor with his MGs in short order. Finished with 127 damage and was like the 3rd or 4th mech downed. So a pretty crappy round. I left the match to jump in another mech, and halfway through that round I got the notification: Achievement Unlocked: Philanthropist I was somehow able to tag every single mech from halfway across the map by randomly firing across the lip of the volcano, and get enough points to complete the challenge.
