This design is based off of TruePoindexter's design above, with some modifications in the weapons and slightly more armor. I am not certain when I'll be able to test out this design, so if someone tries her out please let me know how she runs. Also, feel free to make any suggestions and comments, as this is the first mech design I have posted here. (Quite honestly I doubt many would be interested in most of the loadouts I run on my mechs, as they tend to be much more conservative then what seems popular.) If there is interest in my designs I may post more, consider this me testing the waters.

Thank you everyone, and I look forward to further contributing to this great community.
Hmm, below is a slightly alternate design to this mech I was contemplating, not sure how much of a difference Artemis makes on an SRM4 however, let me know if you try it out.

Edit: And here is the third configuration based upon skribs's very sound advice, dropped the Artemis and some leg armor to add a third medium laser and another DHS, adding a bit more bite and still maintaining good armor and my preferred 50%+ heat efficiency. Once again thank you for the advice.

Edit 2: Alright, I updated this last one again, and think it is optimized about as far as possible, reduced the engine size and removed a lil more armor to fit in two more heatsinks, with the 25 engine she is still blazing quick and still has all four heat sinks slots in the engine, which are now full.

I actually would go with SRM4 without Artemis. Slightly less deadly than SRM6 up close, but more deadly on the tail end. ASRM4 is even better on the tail end, but not worth an extra ton IMHO. Depending on how slots allow, could use that ton and maybe a ton from rounding down armor on the legs to pick up an extra ML and/or DHS (or two DHS).

Overall, these are just preferences. A 360 XL with that setup would be pretty mean.

Thank you for the advice skribs, those tips look rather good and I've added the modified mech loadout up above in my first post.

Not a problem. I like the sound of my own voice, it's even better when others like it, too! Actually, I'm kidding. My voice is terrible. I'm even considering having someone voiceover my videos when I produce them...anyway...

Your newest build is solid, there isn't much else I would do. The only suggestion I could make is to take the engine speed down a bit to fit in more DHS, but that's an option for variance and not a critique (if that makes sense). Basically the best room for play to suit the build to your specific needs. All three of these builds are pretty solid. I think the original configuration you posted would be the best close up, the first alteration would be the best at 150-270m, and the third iteration strikes a nice balance between the two.

For this build, I'm all in favor of trading the Artemis for a MLAS as well. Very cool, very nasty.
    ...
Very unhappy with the idea that I'll have to pony up for a XL360 for the dragons.

You don't have to if you don't want to Arch. While this is a good build, there are also great builds utilizing anywhere from 300 to 350 XL engines. A few unit members of mine like 340s, another likes 325s, and I tend to run 300s. I even have a 250 STD in my Flame. The beauty is that you CAN put a 360 in if you want to.

The 360 engine is just my preference, as hopefully you can tell from the above builds I prefer a fast brawler, in fact when I have the spare CBills I plan on upgrading my Yen-Lo to a 300 engine just like my CN9-D, breaking 100 KPH is just great fun and I love my LB10-X's, there's just something about a giant mech shotgun. I've pulled off some crazy light-mech maneuvers with my CN9-D running in, blasting with my shotgun, running out, sprinting for cover, I really can't wait to be able to test out my Fang. For my Flame I'm not really much of a sniper, but I think I'm going to have to go with a gauss build on her, we have a few good ones here.

Edit: I also edited the first post again, the third make should be everything you are looking for now.

I prefer running my LB10-X on my FLAME, backing it up with 4x Med.PLasers. Step 1: Strip Armor; Step 2: Major Crits...
I really am a fan of the speed you are getting out of this 'mech, always in need of more speed!
