    Hello,

After looking for a build with gauss and machine guns, i had the idea to mix the "Alpha dog" (http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=7026.0) and the "Crit stick" http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=7429.0

And the result of this mix is the " Alpha Crit" :phear: :D

Compared to the 2 above mentionned builds, this one has the advantage of the 2 cGauss, 2 ERLL for the long range, and 4 cMG to close quarter with 4 ERML in back up. Thus, the heat efficiency is pretty good and you wont be afraid to "alpha strike" quiet often with this build.

I also mount the 2 ERLL on the same arm, because i like to poke and shoot with the right side (an habit i kept from my sniper builds). And then finally, the TC2 finish to polish this build to make it adequate for this forum ;-)

    Mouse configuration:

    1. 2x Gauss
    2. 2x ERLL
    3. 4x MG + 4x ERML

And this was my first game with this build...

Actually, I stumbled upon this build last night without knowing yours existed. However, I allocated my weight a bit differently, and I somehow ended up with 2 more points of armor (no biggie) AND 10 extra Gauss shots. Yours seems to have -slighty- better heat efficiency, but not by too much.

This thing really is amazing, isn't it? In two losses with a terrible team, I was able to rack up 7 kills and 18 destroyed components. It literally shreds things to pieces at any range.

Here's my build if you'd like to see the differences:

    Hi,

Glad you like this build. About the armor, I changed it to have more armor in the head. That was a mistake.

And absolutely, this thing is amazing. I personnally prefer to play with this version (4ERML + 4x MG) instead of the Alpha Dog (6 x ERML) because of 2 reasons:

    - Even if you have a smaller Alpha (80 instead of 94), you will have a better heat efficiency on longer fight.
    - Using your MG will permit you to close the kill quickly in brawl and to change faster to an other target.

Your configuration is also good, but i prefer to have both ERLL on one side, because i am used to tank with the left side and peak with the right side. Just an habit i have.

This mechs is also my allround DWF. You are ready for any situation with this. And thanks for answering. :)
