Blagg's "The Skirmisher" http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=110&l=38cf22a610d556b529c6b18887d05abc92a6bf77 He's right, its a blast to play and 700+ damage per round is very common. I've had heavies-assaults retreat from a full frontal "in your face" style attack from this guy. He's very maneuverable, runs cool, can solo very well, scares away lights and has enough ammo to last a while. But the real benefit is how well he shines in late game, when everyone has some exposed sections, then he becomes the reaper.
In a moment of supreme weakness (and boredom since Sega got DDOS'd and PSO2 isn't working quite right) I picked up the clan pack for the Novas and Kit Foxes...while the KFX has been a serious disappointment (I should've known that a light that slow would anger me), the Nova has been a rather pleasant surprise. It's fast enough that I don't feel like I'm chugging, and has enough serious firepower that I kept the Prime version in its stock settings and have been cleaning up. I haven't enjoyed a medium that much since I was leveling my Cicadas, and is versatile enough to really have a lot of fun with, so add that to my favorites list.
i wish it wasnt all on the arms but i just love how my NVA-PRIME plays, such a fun mech for me 72 firepower in a medium, even if all energy based is just insane imho http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=179&l=d9265dde834e303da2a69f7542061e86bf0ea6da
Easily the Jenner-F, especially solo on my smurf account with solo only Elo (uninflated by group dropping). Fastest viable mech on the battlefield, strong alpha, cool enough, and rarely unable to contribute in a meaningful way. Average solo round is 512 damage, 2.3 kills, .5 deaths, 61.5% win rate.
IS mech favourite - Jester. Clan mech favourite - Timber Wolf, most configs. And yes, I think it should loose the JJ's to the future Hero version. I will like it anyways, great loadout options.
I've got two favourites, my 3L 'Old crow' and the Catapult. Nothing makes me feel like I'm in the cockpit of an attack helicopter like running along the canyons on, eh, river canyon to pop up and unleash hell in form of missiles/lasers/bullets. /CX
I've been having great fun with lights as of late. The speed and jump power of the Spider and Jenner have lead to some fun matches. The Spider is the perennial favorite XL255, LLas, 4mg build.
I haven't left my Victor's since release, every Meta they stick work the best for me and seem to be the most effective. My goto build day after day is: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=90&l=d06d16e1a048f3d64f0eaaca28ee417e0db627b0 Soften them up with LRM's and then punch them with the AC and SRMs. Of course my DS still gets quite a lot of work too http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=87&l=306100416d7c302950ed527bf8024ecef2d5155c love these two builds
~inb4 Necro-mania~ My favourite build at the moment is the following (Don't shun me cause it's a TBR) http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=165&l=033841b551fd795a4ea906373b777df151c39fab And I was able to pull off my best game so far (I'm still pretty crappy, I dream to be in the 1000+ club)
A little vaiation of a build i made: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=110&l=d810e64011e7446ffec56c864b9a4b0f4013ce4b It has long range punch with the ERPPC, that also makes alphas quite a funny surprise for foes , and also a quite destroying knife-range firepower, but ppl understimate it cause it uses MGs....normally a mistake , they end dieing from criticals often and the heat is quite manageable, due to the fact that u can move to fire only MGs if u see it getting hot, or simply destroyed the armour with a couple alphas
