Pretty self explanatory build. You just stay off behind your teammates and deal huge damage at long range with your alpha strike, and follow up with gauss shots. This can melt the armor of assaults like butter, and can really surprise a smaller mech looking for an easy kill. Just position yourself well and you'll easily get 1k damage games and plenty of kills and component destroys. This build also has a targeting computer enabled variant here: While you can fit any size computer by sacrificing heat sinks and some armor, I find that the Mk. III compromises the least (1 heat sink and 1/2 ton of gauss ammo), while still giving a good boost. Both versions are designed to get 2 full alphas without overheating, which gives you 189 damage total. If you aim well you can kill just about anything before you overheat, but the mech's low maneuverability means you should still avoid direct confrontation without backup. The comp enabled one may have difficulties on terra therma and the like heatwise.
Love this build. I find it does less damage than my autocannon build, but that is because everything drops fast and clean with a neat hole drilled through the center.
Great build. Was able to break 1200 without arty/air strikes. Also saw a guy hit 1712 damage with 9 kills with this build.
This is the same same as the build I came up with except I use 2 more DHS over 2 MLs. I still have heat issues.
This spec is so addictive I cant bring myself to use anything else. It should be named "The lightsaber" because i swear it just cuts through mechs.
I find myself in the same situation, however I just finished a new Dwolf build based on melting armor that I think can use that name...
Just wanted to say that I made an account just to rate this build. I think this is one of the most violent builds in the game at the moment. Absolutely devastating and efficient.
This is the build I use. slightly altered for more ammo and a MKII TC instead of a MKIII works pretty well.
Similar build to Malystryxvof, but I moved the two tons of gauss from the CT to the RT, the heat sink from RT to LT and the targeting computer from the RT to the CT. I also shaved a few points from the front torsos to the back just in case one of those sneaky lights gets behind me. That way, I can keep my TC in case I lose a side...
