Since I saw the high mounted ballistic slots on the Summoner-D, I knew I'd really enjoy this mech. The original intention was to copy the venerable AC2 SHD-2H with just 2MLs as backup and therefore gaining a decent shieldarm. Having both medium lasers on the same side allows bringing one prime arm for slight variation as well, depending on personal preference. Removal of the TC1 for additional ammunition optional. 2 ML on the left arm, gaining -10% cooldown for the lasers from the prime arm. 2 ML on the right arm, gaining -10% cooldown for the UAC5s from the prime arm... and a noticeably higher chance for a jam.
Since the cooldown modules released, I have been brainstorming a similar build. Here is what I plan to test first. It uses standard clan AC5s instead of Ultra to remove the jamming, making them dependable for longer engagements. Hopefully, someday, the standard AC5s will have their promised benefit of switching ammo types during a drop. Until then they will always be subpar. BUT in this case, the lack of jamming and a 22% cooldown reduction might be worth looking at. EDIT: Apparently there is no Clan AC5 cooldown module... wtf...
[member=3228]Solahma[/member] neither the AC2, cause the full module makes them run under the ghost heat barrier
Small change, big effect.... Kick TC1 out- no big effect for 1to at the 2 lasers and the speed up for the bullets is useless for a brawler......... does less effect. Add the heatsink because it pushes up the dakka output, especially if you renounce of the lasers while you in brawl.
