Goal was to bring four barrels including heavy hitting one. Gauss was chosen for same projectile speed as ac2, which acts in same manner as co-axial mg for tank guns. Thing is capable of scoring up to 1k dmg. Achived with previous version running STD275, speed was beareable, but mobility (traversing slopes etc.) not modified version
cant see much use for the regular large laser. Either ER Large or mediums and use the spare tonnage for armor/heat sinks. Lose the ams and use the tonnage for engine/armor. extremely fragile for an assault.
LLaser is useful but after couple of matches i have to agree with you on it, 2-3 meds would be better, ams stays as i encounter lots of heavy lrmboats and much more agile mechs still benefit from it greatly. Have to disagree with fragility, it can take samo or even more than other assaults, problem is that banshees tend to be focused even if there's no reason for it.
