Clan narcs will be insane I see, AMS overload module plus range increase would make a nasty AA mech, the Radar thing is very nice, fall damage redux is interesting....legged module is meh, the warhorns are just weird and doesn't feel BT really.
I think IS will just get those later, but the radar thing basically makes target decay and 360 retention totally useless.
Fall damage is not really unbalanced. AMS buff is not bad, but remember that few clan mech have AMS. Radar thing is sort of to compensate the lack of AMS and ECM so I am fine with it. And the speed buff for legged mech is not going to help too much. Good for some mech, but there are better modules. The NARC one seems nasty though. Oh, I wish they can let us hear how the warhorn sounds like before we make the choice.
They are. Check out the original post, there's a link to a sound file that has all the sounds of the warhorns within it.
It's unbalanced as long as there is no IS equivalent, no matter how useful it could be.
Epikt I'm sorry but I feel like you are going to bitch no matter what unless they make us clanners shoot cheese whip and wet noodles at you.
The NARC combined with the future fix for min ranges for clan LRMs is going to be interesting. To be honest, none of these modules are truly OP compared to the TC which increases overall efficiencies by a fair percentage (25% extra crit chance?) That's the real shifter. We'll see, I will not rage until they've been in gameplay for a bit.
I'm a big fan of the "Preasure Chamber" and also the "Lunch truck" Jesus Christ, does anyone proofread anymore...
Maybe you're right. I admit I don't like clans and think it's a stupid idea from the very beginning. And I'm also very concerned about game balance with the introduction of content that was designed to be overpowered.
Do we know if these are clan specific modules or is that just the assumption? I assumed the opposite, that these modules and all the IS modules were one big batch. I think these modules are okay. Radar Deprivation directly counters the Target Decay module which I don't agree with. Radar Deprivation should not eliminate the Target Decay completely, rather it should only reduce the decay back to standard timing. nothing vs. Radar Deprivation = target instantly lost (regular 2s) Target Decay vs. Radar Deprivation = 2 second lock (regular 2.75s) Adv. Target Decay 1 vs. Radar Deprivation = 2.75 second lock (regular 3.5s)
This. Now I hope they are smart enough to come to something similar. Also, I think it would be actually better if those could be only mounted on clan mechs. Because if it's for anyone then it will be like seismic sensor now, anyone will have it, and no target after lost LOS, wow that would be really boring. EDIT : actually, nope I contact support, it will hard counter anything, and anyone will have it
Oy - Have a listen to the "Warhorns" and tell me straight up this feels BT? https://soundcloud.com/mechwarrior/sets/mechwarrior-warhorn-sound
Hahahahahahahhaha... No. It belongs in a Dark Ages Jousting Tournament or a Transformers trailer. I can see the lens flare now. Maybe an episode of Vikings?
Yeah, I was expecting some clan totem sounds. Challenges kinda. Fanfares, declarations, air raid sirens, anything but the gang hoodie who modifies his car horn to make funny noises.
Guys, my Warhorn was just delivered today from amazon.com, check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iPKjSHUjNE
Yeah can't stand the horns.... Its been mentioned a few times now that the new modules would be for both. Not entirely sure if it was PTS but last night my new moduels weren't actually unlocked as I checked amounts - 10k for the Narc/AMS, 15k for the rest.
I read a confirmation somewhere, about new modules being available for all mechs. Ofc, without reference my statement is just a rumor. I really don't think any of the old or new content will be restricted to either Clan/IS. *edit* I was ofc only talking about weapons besides modules. Not equipment.
