    Now obviously, as the title suggests, this exact build can be put on a Griffin-1N to pretty much the same effect. But for those who never bought the Griffins, or who may actually prefer (for whatever reason) having all their weapons in the torsos, here's your chance to get in on the good stuff.



    Alternate STD Engine Variant, with less armor and speed, but better survivability:


    Here's a screenshot from one of my better matches with this thing, in the original XL300 variant. Didn't quite break 1000+, but it came pretty close, without any consumables either! :rofl:

    I hear rumors of the next patch repairing SRM Hit Detection. This will make this mech into an AWESOME jumping CN9-A type brawler. Sure, you can't go zombie, but, you still have good shield arms and a HELL of a punch in a close engagement! :D I LIKE!

    I have been looking forward to that patch for soooo long. It might trigger me to buy more SRM mechs.

    Will most probably try this one out. Jumping CN-9A with more speed, more laser and JJ. :D

    Not a bad build, but you are running an XL on a brawler.... Replace that xl300 with a std 285. 1 JJ, only 10 heatsinks, 4 tons of srm ammo. And youll be able to last longer. If one side gets shot off you still have the other.

    Yeah, XL engine on a brawler may be a bad idea in some situations, but for the most part, I don't find that Shadowhawks lose STs very easily. Usually it's the CT that goes, or so I've found so far over the past three days of leveling them.

    @Blagg --- STD engine variant is definitely a viable alternative, but I would never put all that ammo in the same torso as the Lasers. Why? Because if you lose that Left Torso, even with CASE to prevent death from ammo explosion, you'd have nothing left! Your Lasers would be gone, and your ammo for the SRMs would also be gone, except for whatever ammo you might have left in your head (which still drains first, so far as I know). So you'd likely have ZERO weapons left after losing that Left Torso, in which case you might as well be running an XL engine.

    Edited OP to add a STD variant, plus a Screenshot of what this baby can do. ;)

    You will never regret running this thing, 'cause it literally shreds 'Mechs. Yes, the JJs are great in this thing compared to the Centurion, but not only that, the convergence and weapon placement are superb! Those high shoulder mounts let you pop over ridges like nobody's business. ;)

    The best thing about the clan invasion? more targets.

    Here is a compilation of screenshots from ~5 hours of gameplay from 18th-20th of June right after the clan invasion. About 70% of all 2K matches played during this period were three digit match scores. I was using the exact build I posted a few comments above. However, you will notice that I have a very bad survival rate as clan mechs can put out insane DPS and alpha. You cannot trade with a clan heavy/assault, only king hit them when they aren't looking. i.e. if they look at the ridge or building that you just popped around you must scoot quickly or die on the next volley. Even then, survival with all limbs attached is unheard of.

    Ran a few matches in this build tonight. Still no 1000+ matches, (though that first one came SOOO close), but some good scores just the same.

    Still rocks, even against Clans. High alpha is their weakness, and for a 55 ton 'Mech, this guy's got it. ;) :cool:

    I feel sorry for my 2K because I've been neglecting it due to me grinding out XP for clan mechs, and now that I've elited my Timberwolf SRM the 2K is going to see even less action :unsure:

    Don't worry though babe, I'll come back for you once I master my clan mechs.
